TSX or RSX Type-S

I have an '04 TSX automatic and I was looking into either a 6-Speed Manual TSX or the RSX Type-S. I have pros/cons for both and I was wondering what you guys thought?

Neither - do you hate the automatic transmission so much that you are prepared to waste thousands of dollars to get another TSX with a 6-speed manual? And then the RSX is a different car altogether....

Save up the money for the next car in a few years' time and get something totally diferent then. RDX?

I'm actually in thinking about the same car as you! Only to change my mind, save up more money for the new M3. Still can't stop modding it though.

If your set on trading it in and don't mind 2 doors or don't nessesararly need 4 the 05 RSX-S is one hell of a car IMO. They did a great job with the 05 refresh. 10X better than the 02-04's.

Or at least wait for the 06 TSX's. They'll have at least 210-215HP.

The 05 RSX is lower by 33mm, has a stiffer chasis, and more sound dedening for a more quiet highway ride. The interior has better seats but I saw some cut backs...like the coin holder doesnt ahve that soft material anymore...its just plastic now.

So overal the 05 is way better. Oh and lets not forget the Type R cams. 210hp

I have both - a '04 TSX 6MT & '04 RSX-S. I truly enjoy driving the RSX-S but it just wears me out on long highway drives (+3 hrs.) The suspension is much stiffer than the TSX plus the noise level is deafening and the '05 is not much quieter - I tset drove it to see for myself. I am always glad to slide my backside back into the TSX.

I have both as well, 04 models. The RSX-S is quicker and more fun to drive around town, but I agree with miner... for trips that last a longer duration, I would want the TSX. Noise levels don't bother me, but stereos do, and the RSX is way below par.

Good news for you. I am selling both the TSX, and RSX-S, so why don't you buy one of mine.

I just traded in my '02 RSX-S for an '05 TSX. I am quite impressed with the finish on the TSX. I do miss my girl though, driving the Type S is nothing but pure fun. With the CAI, the enging just sounds friggin' hawt!

But I needed a 4-door, some of us have to grow up sometime. And I am quite happy with my choice, although I was going back and forth with the TL and the TSX.

It all depends on what you need. If you will miss the 4-doors and the quiet ride, don't move on to the RSX. But if you want something that will move like stink, sound like it's on fire, and out-handle most of what is out there, then go with the RSX. But if you go with an RSX, don't go half-way and not get a Type S. I just don't see the point.

Still looking, but I have noticed that me and the old lady keep going back and forth to the Benz and BMW dealerships here. Not too many options unless I am willing to drop 60K on a car. Not sure I wanna do that just yet.

Anyone know what changes are in-store for the 06 TSX? Just bought my 05 a month ago and I LOVE IT! Hoping that nothing too radical is being planned. Then again, I'm into keeping my cars a while as I am with my Harleys. Sometimes the older ones are the cooler ones. Personlized etc..

At least wait for the new 3 to hit dealers.

I'd personally get a Benz with the new 3.5L V6. One tourquey motor.

06 3 series is in at my local dealership. I personally like the older 3 series better, looks wise. 330Ci w/ performance package.

Either way, I was thinking more 6 series, or waiting for the M6 to arrive. (heard it was supposed to be by end of this yr beginning of next )

We test drove several Benz models. I was rather surprised by the feeling of the C230 with the SC. We drove an automatic, and the pickup was really nice. I dont like the cabin though, too small. The CLS500 is a different story though.

I'm sure this has been explained someplace else, but why are you Dom now, instead of Domn?

Dom's his real name. If you think that's bad you should see what fdl's name is now.

The name changes are in the hands of an all powerful being. Ask the A-Team or the Adams Family in OT how they got their names.
