The TSX driver's seat is uncomfortable now
I've had the TSX for 3.5 years and only now for the past month or so everytime I drive the car I get this right leg pain. I've adjusted the seat in so many configurations, but I still get this pain in my lower thigh. I know it's only when I drive the TSX because my leg feels better the rest of the day sitting in my office chair or any chair. Could it be that the chair in the car is starting to sag or anyone else have this problem?
I don't know what to do, maybe buy a cushion or something? It might be another reason to trade in the TSX for another car with a more comfortable drivers seat.

Not quite sure.
I know though that any extended periods of driving mine (3 hours and longer) it can start to hurt my back and legs....sort of switches off depending on how I sit. I noticed it the most when I first got my car. I live close to Houston, TX, and since I found such an awesome deal, one that you couldn't find anywhere else...I flew up to Kansas City and drove my baby home about 12 hours.
Its not terrible pain, just that dull pain the aggrevates and annoys.
The seats seems supportive in some aspects (i.e. side bolsters) but long drives can be kind of 'bleh' sometiems because of it. Maybe a slighty redesigned seat would help??? Maybe I just don't have great posture and don't know it.
I know I didn't do very well answering the question...just thought I would put my two cents in.

The seats in my 04 tsx (60k) are def not as comfy or supportive as my '05 Audi A4... I also got to drive a 07 TSX a few weeks back as a loaner and those seats felt A LOT more supportive as well...

it's a car-drive it
can not help you either as I find the seats very comfortable. (even on our 6,177 mile road trip thru 20 states). I travel alot between NC and NJ (642 miles one way) and have no complaints. I bought my car in Pa and drove it home (almost 800 miles) and no complaints then and now after 23,560 miles in 9 months on my 06 tsx

Did you get new shoes recently? I've noticed that I get the same sort of pain you're describing if I rotate my ankle so my toes are more pointed outward. Some cars, like my old civic, where the angle of the center channel forces my heel to be further away from the center line of the gas pedal really made it worse. I've also noticed certain shoes that have wider heels cause it to be worse. Try keeping your ankle more straight up and down so there's not as much constant tension on the tendons in your knee. I know it helps me quite a bit on the long trips.

Hey Fox do you think it was because the TSX seats sag because my mileage is at almost 47K on my 04 TSX.

this is purely subjective.. some may find the seats perfect while others find it terrible... soft/hard, high/low, etc... the pain may just be an injury you didn't know about.. charlie horse/leg cramp last week? any sports/ heavy lifting?

I never feel a cramp or pain in my legs, perhaps because of modulating gas/clutch/brake, but I do get a stiff back or sore shoulders sometimes. When this happens, which is not very often, I usually just make a couple of small seat adjustments and the problem is solved.
I find that I'm comfortable with the seat adjusted one way when I first get into the car, but tend to adjust it as I'm driving to a completely new position. When I get back into the car, I have to adjust it back to the original position and start the process over again.

Just a thought here. You might try moving your seat forward a bit to make sure you’re not over reaching to get to the gas pedal and while you're at it (if applicable), take your wallet out of your back pocket.

I get the same cramp in my right leg when driving +2hrs. At 6'3" and size 14 shoes the TSX doesn't give me a lot of adjustments. On long trips, I usually where shoes I can slip off very easily to stretch my legs out every once in a while between the pedals when I'm using cruise control.

Hehe....you should set both your seat memory buttons...
the first for when you get in, and the second one for when you start feeling

Then, this should be in a separate thread it's been raining as you all know in the Chicagoland area non-stop for the past 3-4 days. When I was driving home I felt 2 drips of water on my left shoulder, is my sunroof leaking?? I looked around the sunroof and didn't find any moisture and I don't open the sunroof that often, just do the tilt feature though this afternoon but it was closed at the time, maybe some water seaped in? Had the same problem in my old first car the 88 Accord with the leaky sunroof. I thought after 15 yrs Honda would've solved that leaky sunroof problem?

Well, at least I'm not imagining things, as I'm writing this I can still feel that lingering pain. Dang, I'm only size 11.5.
I did adjust putting the seat forward and back, up and down and to no avail. I've driven with the seat forward it hurts, back it's too far and makes the pain worse, up position my head hits the ceiling, down position it sucks. I wish I had the memory seat feature on the 04. Also, I don't lift or do any leg exercises aside from running and treadmill, but I would've felt a soreness on both legs, not just the right one.

Leg pain is often the result of a low back problem. Try reading my post about seat positioning in this thread. Hopefully it will help!

irritation which IS a lower back issue. If you can't find a comfortable long-term seat
position, you might consult a chiropractor or an orthapedic surgeon for some low impact exercises to strengthen your lower back muscles. I have a daily exercise regimen for this exact problem.
The TSX seats work fine for me, but I had a 96 Camry that I could drive for only 15-30 minutes before the leg pain started. FYI, getting old is not fun - don't do it

well, i did put like a small cushion and my leg pain has subsided a bit. so, maybe due to a lack of cushioning in the seat.
now, i may get rid of the TSX because this girl I dated has the exact same car and car color and I think she is blowing me off, now whenever I look at my TSX I think of her, ugh. well, i'm not jumping to conclusions becuase I'm still waiting for her to call me back. i'm just a bit bitter right now.

I nominate this as the worst reason to get rid of the TSX.

I Quit
back on topic, I get the same type of pain in my left leg over extended periods. I do have a manual though and the pain typically comes in highway gridlock I just blame it on riding the clutch.

Funny! My GF just bought a TSX also, but I am not keeping my TSX much longer. I almost pulled the trigger on an 07 CRV of all cars, but I will wait til next spring/summer to decide. Ill be looking at the Ex35, 135i, A4, and maybe the next TSX.
