Arrow Trip Computer HIGH SCORES

How to play... Visit THIS web page to see the current scores. Post (or email) a picture of the "History" screen of your trip computer if you beat one or more of the current high (or low) scores in the following categories and I'll update the page:
  • Largest Date Range
  • Longest Trip
  • Longest Elapsed Time
  • Shortest Elapsed Time
  • Best Average Fuel Consumption
  • Worst Average Fuel Consumption
  • Highest Average Speed
  • Lowest Average Speed
Example:

Make sure you read the rules. I made the "at least 200 miles" rule so someone won't just do a few miles of fast driving to show a high mph average, for example. The idea is to only reset your trip computer at fill up, and I figure nobody needs to fill up more often than 200 miles.

Since I can't edit this post, the scores and rules will be maintained on the page linked above, so the rules are subject to change if I didn't think of everything.

If you think this is way too silly, or that I'm way too geeky, you're probably right, but I really don't need to hear about it.

Disclaimer: I am not responsible for any speeding tickets, empty gas tanks, etc. Play this game at your own risk.

I had a trip with over 35 mpg... San Diego to San Jose, first week of ownership. Trip was 8 hrs long, had one stop for gas.

Last week, I refueled the car and checked into the estimated range. The NAVI screen said "--", so I went into the config screen and it said -14 miles for range. Obviously, I was in the reserve for a while.

No photos, though...

I've only had my car long enough for 3 fill-ups... the above was two ~ 200 mile trips, and driving around town. I think I would have had about 33 MPG if I hadn't had the city driving. If lots of people play along, I think it will be interesting to see the extremes.

Oh, lots of things have happened and you'll never know about it...

Hey, my brother just got accepted to the University of Boston for his Master/PhD. MIT also invited him for an interview, expenses paid. Is Boston a good place to go to school? He's undecided between school or a $60K paying job in SF. I told him $60K in SF is not enough.

"They just cancelled Boston."

"Oh, well. It's not a big college town."

Sorry, couldn't resist. Unfortunately, I bet more than half the members here are too young to recognize the quote. One of the benefits of approaching 40, I guess...

So, Im gonna bring this back from the dead. This is my best week of driving since I got my TSX. Normal week, commuting to work and stores...
After I filled up, it took less than 16 gallons. I was surprised b\c I drove around with the Range counter at "--" for quite sometime. Figured it was going to take 16-16.5 gal.

Indeed -- too bad Honda/Acura couldn't spare that extra 3 cents to make it 9999.9 miles.

Nice! Your 29.9 gallons is with winter fuel too. As soon as the summer fuel swings around your gas mileage will get much higher.

By the way... before anyone else says it
"HOLY THREAD REVIVAL BATMAN!".

hehe... good to know someone is using the search button.
