I am thinking about getting tint so I ask the dealer how much it would cost and here is what he quoted me: No fault lifetime warranty Diamond film 279+tax for smoke and 299+tax for mirror.

What did you guys pay that have dealer installed tint?

 

may i ask why u are gettin tint done from the dealer?....anything from the dealer is going to be more expensive than if your go to a performance shop

 

I didn't know dealers installed tint! They probably only do states legal max though, right?

 

That sounds pretty cheap.....here in NJ full tint is like 300-350 for a car.........most dealers wont tint the front cause its not legal in NJ

 

That's crazy! Cross the bridge and pay $100 less. I got mine done for $200 all 7 windows.

My car is sitting at the dealer for two more weeks(still overseas). I will not have time to get them tinted until around october. So this is the perfect time to have it done.

 

I get quote from a few place in SF bay area. the price is around $300 - 365

If anyone one know a better price in the bay area, can you let me know? thanks!!

 

Anyone in the Southern California area - I just had mine done at a place called "A TERRIFIC TINT" in Mission Viejo. $289 out the door, and that includes them adding the felt to all four doors to prevent tint scratches. They seemed like a very professional operation, and my TSX looks bitchin'.

check out LA Tint in sterling/alexandria... supposedly they do the best job in the area. ~$220 for metallic, lifetime warranty, etc. make sure you read about TSX scratching tints though.

 

Here in CT it runs about $150 with "seamless" back window.

 

Maybe it's cheaper in Texas, but all of those prices sound really high to me. I had all 7 windows with lifetime guaranteed 35% metallics for $140. Non-metallic in back for the navi. The ceramic tint was also available for $270.

 

most of the time they don't they just have another place come do it. I got mine tinted for $200 by the same place that does a majority of the dealerships(not just acura) tinting around here.

They just tack on the middle man money.

not metallic color, metallic material which supposedly blocks UV rays better, lasts longer and doesn't turn purple I believe. I'm sure any tinting website will explain better.

 

Damn you guys are getting robbed for tint. I got mine done for 100$ 35% all around ,and this is at a very reputable shop. I only paid 120$ for my Lexus gs I had and it was alot bigger than the tsx.

 

I did the back three windows of my G sedan at a performance store about three months ago, it costs $87. I think it is titanium smoke or something.
