Tie-down loop removal?
Tie-down loop removal?
I was investigating where a hitch receiver would go if i were to make my own for my TSX. To get it tucked up really tight, it would be best for it to occupy the space where the rear tie-down loop is welded. I could give it 1cm clearance all the way around so it wouldn't ever rub. This would just be the location of the square-tubed receiver itself, not its attachment point.
So, does anyone know of any disadvantages to cutting off these tie-down loops? I'd grind, prime, and paint the cuts.
