I talked to my dealer today and she said my car is supposed to arrive at the dealership on the 14th! That's on Monday! And I am in NC! That would be only 34 days from the build date! She didn't have a VIN number though. Is that unusual? I hope she wasn't bullsh&*!in' me. I am so excited I can hardly stand it. This means I should have my car before I go on vacation next Saturday and I can drive the car home and show it off to the fam !

 

Anyone with 6/11 date, what # is your car? My dealer said they'd get back to me on date, but thought I might have quicker luck here.

 

My understanding is that VINs are assigned right before they are put on the boat so you would think your sales person should have that...however it just may be her not having all the information. Enjoy your car and post some pics when youget it. I can hardly believe i've already ahd mine for more than 3 months

 

I have confirmation on the 7/14 delivery date. Mine was built 6/11 and I'm #8621. I live in Chicago.

 

How do I find out the build date? I've got the sticker in front of me and I know the # of the car (4595), but I am not sure where I get the build date info.

 

Your dealer should know the build date. That's how I found out mine.

Hmmmmm...my salesman told me that my car was built on 6/17, but my # is 8349. Something fishy? Or am I just worrying too much?

 

7/14?! great!! I called my dealer yesterday and he said late July, maybe cause I'm in NJ is that why mine's later? I also have a built date of 6/11 #8613.

I have the VIN now, but the dealer says the car is still in Japan. How long does it take to get to the east coast after the VIN becomes available?

Well... I have a VIN and my dealer said I should be seeing it on the 17th.... see my sig on my build date.

It's the last group of #'s in the VIN. Dealer should have this # before it ships.

Not really, but month and year should be on inside door panel

 

I hope not. The factory that the TSX is built in is the same as the RL and MDX (I believe) and it is said to be one of the best auto plants in the world.

 

The MDX is built in Canada.
