I just noticed something; on the lower left of the dash, next to the "VSA Off" switch, there are two blanks. Apparently in other markets those switches control something.
Does anyone know what they're for?

They are blank panels for switches you might want to mount there.

I have the LED for my alarm in one and the gain knob for my bass amp in the other.

Some people who have the Navi to DVD conversion have put their on/off switch there.

 

I plan on puting my Nav converter switch on 1 panel and my Aux 3 switch on the other.

But as far as Acura ever having anything to go there.....hmmm. dunno? Maybe fog lights and the Super Duper Turbo button?

Bought my car used -- have a pretty crappy looking switch in the empty slot next to the VSA switch. NO idea what it does... or if its even hooked up to anything. Strange eh?

Anyone have the blank insert left over where they put a new switch? Wanna send it to me in an envelope?

 

JDM uses them for an adjustment knob on the HID lights (mandatory in Europe) and the other one is blank back in 2004. Now it looks like they are all blank from recent photos on the JDM site.

 

The factory fog light control goes on the turn-signal arm. I do like the SDT option, however. Maybe a "nitro" button - but then I'd have to run over all those little cans in the road...
