Speed

So my tsx boys and girls, the power of the TSX.....hows it compare to maximas, the TL, g35, etc when you actaully drive it on the road. Acceleration onto the highway.....passing cars on the highway....city driving ....passing someone on an old 2 lane country road...etc.

i dont care about the 0-60 time because i am NOT drag racing anyone.........just wondering what you guys think about REAL WORLD DRIVING and the tsx....all stories and information welcomed!

ps....i should note that i currently drive an 03 civic ex with 127HP and like 110lbs of tourque.....but i am VERY used to driving dad's 03 Maxima with 255hp and 255lbs of tourque which we have nicknamed "the rocketship" cause is so damn FAST!!!

Plenty of juice for day to day driving and then some. No question about that.

Test drive, test drive, test drive (as was said in another thread)

Make sure your always in the right gear & you should be fine. The 6 spd close ratio gearbox is the closest thing to perfection ive experienced.

I tested drive the G35 and the Maxima before I bought the TSX. They have much more power than TSX. No need to compare.

If you are looking for muscle / performance car. TSX is not for you.

I don;t mean to offend the other TSX owner coz I am TSX owner too. I just want to tell my point of view.

the 03 maxima of course is faster than the TSX

all those other cars you mentioned, G35 coupe or sedan, Maxima/I35, TL, are all faster than the TSX, because they're all V6.

the TSX is fast, for a 4 cylinder car

btw, the only civic i ever liked was the Si, other than that civics are slow and i still don't understand why people mod their civics and think they're so fast.

I know its impossible to compare a V6 to a V4.....but i'm trying to get an idea as to where its going to fit in, in relation to my Current car...my CIVIC 127hp, and my dad's MAXIMA 255hp.

TSX...closer to the civics end of speed.....or closer to the MAXIMAS end?

the ONLY mod i did was drop in a DROP IN K&N filter to gain some MPG.....i ALSO hate those DORKS that put $4000 of mods into their civics and try to act cool

Closer to Civic and 4 cyl US Accord's speed because the TSX really is just a Euro/Jdm Accord.
The Accord V6 240hp is closer to the 03 Maxima's speed.

Haha, nice try.

You aren't the first to do this mistake, it's a classic. Besides, what is quicker to type? I4, or V4?

But, the Acura interior's are totally better than the Infiniti interior's.

It's a pain to read the Infiniti analog clock at night.

Agree . The interior design is very nice. I like this interior more than the G35, s230 (2004 model), Maxima. A4, BMW 325.

The Interior of the G35 looks like toy ...

Don't mess with Timothy Dalton you know.

Roger Moore was the most comedic Bond.

Interesting. Was he holding the steering wheel for you? Did he have gas and break pedals on his side? Last time I took a test drive, call me crazy, but I was driving the car, which allowed me to steer the wheel and point the car in any direction I wanted to go. F the sales guy...

I had a 1.6EL...and that was 127hp, comparable to your civic's, except mine had an acura emblem on it and some standard comfort features...the difference between that and my tsx now is significant, as can be expected w/ an extra 800 or so cc of displacement and better technology...

but u are comparing a 4 cylinder vs. a v6...to me i thought acura did a good job w/ the driveability of this car, and i think the fly-by-wire throttle tech contributes alot to the better pedal response, but u are still comparing apples and oranges...i test drove the mazda 6 and the v6 accord before buying this car, and the difference in torque was apparent...but i still went w/ this car for all the OTHER things it does better than its competition...
