So... I got screwed today

yea so I was in a parking lot of my gym... and well I was backing up and I didn't see this set of stairs... (YES I KNOW STAIRS WTF) they stretched out a lot more cuz they were broken.. and it did this to the bottom rear bumper of my tsx, the body shop guy said just to buy the A-Spec kit it goes right over it (WHERE CAN I GET ONE CHEAP BESIDES EBAY?). I got rid of like 2 of the lines with Scratch X also.

I'm not sure if I'm looking at scratches, dents, lights or reflections
(actually no idea WTF I'm looking at, a blue-tint mirror ?)

Damn that sucks man. Yea its on the side, the exhaust is on the left of the pic. I think i see where you mean. The oem lip kit should cover it. I'm not positive though. Besides Ebay there might be a group buy or something on here.

That sucks, the kit is a good idea, but Ebay is probably going to be your best bet, unless you can find one in the black market here on AZ. Try Acura of Esconido (sp?) Ebay store, they usually have pretty good prices

How well did the ScratchX work?

I park in the furthest corner of our office lot and I'm always alone cuz everyone else is too lazy to park there. Wouldn't you know it, some guy parks next to my pristine car one day. I go out after work and find my driver-side door scuffed.

Doesn't appear to be a dent, but there is a one-inch long white scuff mark. How well did the ScratchX work for you in removing some of the white marks?

Don't mean to hijack ur thread...

I took mine to the body shop. The guy charged me $230 to paint my bumper. It looks like new now.

umm you sure ? I don't see him mention no scratches.

Whatever..if those in red box are indeed scratches then the rear underbody spoiler from the body kit other people suggested wont cover that.
He will have to either buff it up and live with it or repaint the bumper.

I see you messed up your car but I don't see the part where you got screwed.

Usually, getting screwed involves more than one person, and I'm not referring to knockin' boots either

Angry 06 rear bumper

Does anyone know if the 06 A-Spec rear body kit will cover this damage?

I have tried looking other posts with the new 06 A-Spec body kit pictures and can not determine if the body kit will over the long scratch on the bottom?

Angry

I have already buffed out the damage on the top with help from a friend. I am sure the A-spec for the 04 and 05 will cover that damage, but are you really sure the 06 will over it. Can't get the 04-05 rear oem kit because I got the Alabaster Silver exterior. Cuz from the pictures that I have seen, it will not cover the damage.

Can anyone with the A-spec for the 06 installed confirm the damage will be covered?

This thread is comedy...ScratchX??? The PAINT IS GONE. And no, a sharpie wont help you.

Three choices:
1) Live with it
2) Get it repainted professionally
3) Find a body kit that will cover.

Probably not. If you get the entire kit, it will run you about $800, not including labor. If you just put on the rear, that might me cheaper, but that would look stupid.
