Ready to join the ranks of TSX owners

So I went to one of the local dealers here today ready to put a deposit down on an '06 TSX only to find I can't get what I want until March. If I want a Royal Blue/Ebony/6MT/NoNavi, I have to have it ordered. Apparently there are none in the Western U.S. and won't be in the forseeable future. I can get another color a little sooner, but in my mind, I might as well wait the few extra weeks to get the one I want.

Anyway, I'm not in a position yet to make an offer, but I did discuss numbers with the salesman. I threw out the number of $30k out the door. He himmed and hawed a bit, but I think we're close. Is that an unreasonable offer. I also plan to call a dealer about 200 mi away and see what they can do for me.

I've loved reading everyone's posts and look forward to hearing what everyone thinks.

Welcome to the forum, not living in the US I can't comment on the numbers. Too bad about the wait but when you do get it you WILL enjoy it. Regards.

I think $30K for a NoNavi TSX is overpriced. A few members actually got an '06 TSX with Nav for under $30K OTD. The dealer gonna act like it's killing them to give you a deal even if you pay more than MSRP so don't fall for it.

from what i've read so far on 2006 offers, $30K OTD is pretty high. you should be able to shave $500-2000 off that

I'm picking up my '06 TSX w/Navi next week for under $28.5, so $30k sounds VERY high for a non-navi. Does that price include tax or something?

Anyway, the only negotiation strategy I can give you is to call all the dealers within driving distance, ask for the Internet Sales Manager and tell them you were quoted $xx,xxx and ask them if they can beat that price. Make up a number if you have to. I'd say $28.5k for Navi and $26.5k without Navi is a good target. Tell them if they can beat that number, you'll put down a deposit right then.

And March????? That's RIDICULOUS. Find a new dealer.

It may depend on which state you live in. In California, with the high sales taxes, $30K OTD may not be bad.

It is with tax and dealer fees. And March does seem a little ridiculous, but I was told that it would take 90 days from the order date for it to arrive. But I figure if these guys can order it, then maybe someone else can order it cheaper.

I wanted a TSX (still kinda do) but I dont want to pay anything near 30k OTD for it. $28k OTD MAX.

If i'm paying $30k OTD for the FWD TSX then I rather get an Lexus IS250 with the Luxury Package for $3-4k more. Much nicer ride then the TSX IMO.
