Oppurtunity?

Im currently in Pakistan for a few weeks and i suprisingly noticed that there are Honda Accords driving around everywhere that look just look like the TSX. Should i hit the dealership and get some parts and do you guys think it would be cheaper here since this is practically a third world country? Someone please do the research since the internet here sucks more than dialup and it took me about half an hour to just do this. Thanks.

It's the currency exchange rate. The dollar is worth more in 3rd world countries than it is in the US. Even a low paid US worker would look super rich when they go to a 3rd world country (and no, I'm not white or anything...my ancestry is in a 3rd world country ;-P)

OP might have a hard time carrying/packing the items.

I'd probably look into the body kit for sure. I don't know how the grille looks for the accords there. Maybe the headlight washer kit lol

I bet you get taxed when you try and bring all those parts through customs. I think the Honda emblems would be the most wanted out of all for rebadging.

Yea... Or you just dont tell the custom whats in the bag. Its not like im risking national security by not telling customs i got a car part in my bag (considering its not an engine or anything like that). Oh yea, nobody really charges tax here. Can someone please goto Honda Pakistan's site and compare the prices for Civic parts to american prices. So atleast we know whos cheaper. Currency exchange rate: 1 dollar= 60 rupees. Thanks.

You're right about not telling customs if you don't want to get taxed, but assuming he doesn't have a direct flight from Pakistan to where he lives in the US, he is going to have his bags rescreened for the domestic flight at which point they will discover the parts, probably ask him to open the bag, and then he will have to pay to ship those parts to his home since you cannot carry-on or even check larger automotive parts in luggage (I've asked before so I know from experience).

dude that society operates VERY differently....those that can afford it can pretty much import anything on their own and it's rather common.
