Oppurtunity to get a dualie system, should I do it?

Hey guys. I have the oppurtunity to trade my oem cat-back exhaust for a dualie exhaust. It's got custom piping, stock cat, and 2 tsudo mufflers? I don't know a whole lot about exhaust so you got to help me out here. I just asked what size the piping is, so I don't know those specifics yet, but this seems like a really good deal, I mean it's a straight trade. He says its pretty quiet, which is ok. Even if this is temporary, what do you guys think about it? Would I have to modify anything for the dualies? Any input would be greatly appreciated, thx

the cl is only ment for a single exhaust. not a dual exhaust. plus with the stck bumber there is only one cut out for the muffler. i think it would look retarded on a cl, especially on a first gen, unles if it had an aftermarket lip with two exhaust cut out in it.

i wouldn't go with it

3.0 with dual exhaust is ok, but since you have a 2.x ill make you lose hp and back pressure

how would I lose horsepower? I have aftermarket headers, I would assume they would work well together. I don't think the loss in back pressure would negatively affect the power in such a way

Is this dualie exhaust bent for an accord? How is the piping run? That's the biggest factor in play to know if you can even mount it, and you have to custom fab a mount on the drivers side and remove the tow hook

your car isnt putting out that much hp, so you would lose the little back pressure you have if you got these dual exhausts. and when losing back pressure, you lose low-end torque.

I'm pretty sure it's bent for an accord. It just sounded like a good oppurtunity but you all seem to think its a pretty bad idea lol. With my plans for a turbo, do you guys think this would be good?

A good single exhaust will outperform a 'dual' regardless of what set-up you're running as long as it's match up to power you're making.

Most of those 'dual' exhausts have the 2nd pipe running out at an absurd angle with no Y-pipe. Plus like mentioned before, it would look dumb on a 1st gen CL since since the car is kinda skinny to begin with.

It'll look kind :ghey:

Stick with this and you can never go wrong.
1st gen = single exhaust
2nd gen = dual exhaust
