Could they upgrade the key fob next year even tho the car just had a renewal..do they do it inbetween times. also do other acuras have the 1 key fob or r all of them separrate?

so if they do upgrade the key fob to 1 unit could u get it even if you have the old 1?

beacuse im having trouble picking between the A4 and TSX and right now the A4 is winning cuz i havent been in the new 2006 TSX

They will not be upgrading the fob for any car sans the RL. I believe they are heading for the keyless system before they do the single key... but this is merely speculation. BTW, anyone getting the 06 TSX will loose the memory seat function just like on the TL if you do the key mod.

jesuswalks... if you do a search, I think you'll find a ton of information here on the forum about the key mod. You'll soon find out that I've been doing the labor on this for a few ppl here.

Oh, definitely, but as with the TL/CLs, you can use the fob to move the seat and mirrors to the designated driver. Also, we have to wait and see if the FCC IDs will work. Just confirmed any car 2003 or older can not do this mod. Still waiting to see on a few other Hondas at the moment.

Ah, interesting. Can you do any other keys besides the TSX, Mod?

 

I always think that the Accord's integrated key looks kinda funny because it is too big. True that with integrated key you wouldn't have to carry an extra FOB, but I'd still rather have the current TSX's FOB since it looks much nicer and more luxury. Perhaps when Acura decides to use integrated keys in their future cars, they can make them smaller and the metal part can actually be folded inside its plastic cover.

04 TL is the only other one we've successfully done.
RSX - not sure if there is a cut off year yet

The exclusion list:
Any Acura prior to 2004 (except the RSX... none tested yet)
Any Honda other than Accord and prior to 2003 model release.

My best guess is, the RSX was the first to use the current OMRON version of the fob. The Pilot got the integrated fob this model year, so I'm not sure about other Pilot years nor about the Ridgeline.
