Question Navi: changing the color of the background

I'm still in the learning phase of trying to use the navi. One thing I haven't gotten to work yet is the choice of background color. Their are 4 selections under "setup": blue, gray, amber, and red. It seem that no matter which one I pick the blue-against-gray scheme remains constant. Anyone know what I might be doing wrong? Thanks!

You are doing nothing wrong, I notice the same issue. I just assume that the Japanese are all color blind.....

Yeah, you did nothing wrong. The blue and gray are very similar.

It's not the background of the entire screen, but the background of the "windows".

For example, change it to red and go to the audio screen. The background of the windows where the text is is a dark maroon type color.

Kinda useless.

Yeah, and I thought I had a subtle sense of style, but... Guess I need to become a little more Japanese.
