hello....

hrm, didn't know where else to post this so mods can move to wherever they like

hi my name is jon....anyway, i'm obviously new to this forum. i was thinking about buying a TSX in the summer because i might be selling my prelude. i figure the tsx is a nice little upgrade, the 4 doors will be nice, and not having to worry about my back seat passenger being totally squished in the backseat is always a plus, haha. i also noticed there is a decent aftermarket.

here are some pics of my prelude if anyone was wondering:

anyway, i hope you guys can convince me to get a tsx i'm really liking the mugen support for it!

are there any recomendations on what kind of kit combinations there are? i know you can mix and match brands with the prelude, so i'm assuming you can do the same with the TSX. what are my choices? i already know of the OEM kit, jdm front lip, and mugen...are there any more i should look out for? thanks!

ok bye.

That's a really nice ride...
I like the JDM fogs

Can you give details about your Prelude since you said you were selling it?

thanks, the jdm fogs cost and arm and a leg but they are probably my most favorite mod on the car

i'm about 70% sure i'm gonna sell it, and i'm most probably going to sell it stock seeing as most people don't buy modded cars nowadays (and i cant get more money if i part out)

some info on it:

-1999 Crystal Blue Metallic Honda Prelude Base Model (5-speed)
-98k miles

as far as mods go:

OEM front lip, Mugen Sides, Mugen Rears, JDM fogs, velox vx-6r rims, rs*R lowering suspension, aem cai, aem pulleys, jdm sir blue valve cover, neuspeed fsb, 5zigen fireball exhaust and some more stuff i just can't think of it right now haha

You pretty much look like you're convinced already.

Anyways, welcome and enjoy the TSX community.

Nice 'lude. I came from a 93. You'll love the TSX, it has a similiar feel to the prelude in both power and handeling. IMO the prelude is a great car to take after. Good luck

Nice Lude. I just made the switch from my 2001 Integra GSR which I absolutely loved. The TSX is an amazing car and the extra room and many many many more luxury features make it such a step up. I highly recommend making the move.

nice ride, I've always liked the prelude - came this close to getting an 01 a few years ago (opted for an accord v6 coupe instead) always regretted that decision somewhat...(except the v6 part).

Anyways, welcome to the board!

Very nice Prelude you have there... I especially like this angle of your car..... although it makes me worry that the crane might fall down or something...

and welcome!

Looks like that lude is in excellent condition, you obviously love it and has been taking good care of it.
I dont mean to rain on anyones parade but per your age, it really doesn't make economic sense to me....well unless you have a family coming and you have a decent income.

well i've been saving up for a while now and for whatever i sell the prelude for will be the downpayment for the tsx. please don't flame me, but my parents are helping me pay for the car as well believe me though, i'm definately not one of those who are "sponsored by daddy" kids, all the mods and everything were payed by ME on the prelude....yay for working minimum wage jobs....its took me over 3 years to get the prelude to the way it looks right now

i'm actually a musician so having the extra room to actually fit my guitar or my bass will be pretty nice i'm also choosing the TSX because it does'nt seem as "played out" as the other imports on the scene right now (350z, g35, rsx, civics) so i hope to be sort of original with mine...it'll be nice to start a new project anyway

I made the same move from a 2000 Prelude. I miss the low riding feel of the Prelude (it just felt much sportier), but the TSX makes up for that in other areas, namely ammenities and features. I know money will be tight, but go for the navigation if you can, it's pretty pimp.
