my A/C is weird
whenever i turn on my A/C it smells like fish or nasty smelling p*ssy.. i only had the car for 3 months with 3500 miles. whats the problem here. i usually have to put it on full blast for 5 minutes for the smell to go away.

A few years ago I had this problem in my 98 Ford Contour. After getting used to my car smelling like a dirty pussy, one day while changing the oil, I noticed the same smell coming from my engine. After spending 2 hours trying to pinpoint the source I found a f***ing dead mouse stuck to the bottom of my engine block.
Let's just say it wasn't pretty...

Yikes... my car has the same problem and the dealer seems to be unable to correct it. A few seconds after the A/C is turned on, the worst odor in the world comes oozing out of the vents. A few times I've literally had to hold my breath while I lower the windows and stick my face out of the car. It's bad. There is definitely something living up in there, and I think it's angry.
The dealer has treated the pollen filter and intake tract with some kind of spray, but it seems to do no good. Fortunately the weather has been nice enough that I can get by without using the A/C, but that won't work this summer...
We'll give spraying chemicals one more shot, but if that doesn't do it, I want the entire evaporator and box out of that car and either replaced or marinated in isopropyl alcohol and chlorine bleach overnight. Or better yet, I want it vaccinated.
Supposedly there is no drainage problem, so I can't imagine where in the hell the bacteria came from or why it's so persistent. It certainly has enough air blowing through it all the time... I never turn the climate control system "off".

Like moda said, just put your AC on full with the vent open. Grab a can of Lysol and spray into the vent under the drivers side wiper for about 20-30 seconds. Then just let the AC run for a few more minutes. Should kill any mold or poon-tang smells...
