my 06 tsx is 8 years old today

hard to believe it has was 8 years ago today my mom and I went to Lehigh Valley Acura in PA to get my new tsx. I was so excited. Many wonderful memories but now it has become just transportation. I do not take care of it as I did in the past. It does get the normal maintenance but as far as washing it, it has been neglected. I do not drive it much so mileage is only 170K+miles. I now use a battery tender.

Congrats on your 8th B-day for your TSX. My 06 TSX turned 8 six months ago in May. It is now my son's high school daily driver since March/14. I only have 115,000 miles on my 06 and I want to keep her around close to the 200K mark for my son to use for HS and College years. I would love to replace the aging TSX; but, it is such a damn good vehicle with absolutely nothing wrong with it. I know I would regret it as soon as I do.

I take all my vehicles once a year to a detail shop in the spring for a complete wash/wax for about $60-$75. It can get rid of door ding scuffs and knock a few years off the paint. Switching to syn oil might be better for the engine if the TSX is going to sit for a long time (coats engine parts better and greatly limits acid build up compared to reg oil).

Happy Anniversary nj2pa2nc. From reading your past posts, I know it has been tough for you the last couple of years but you should post more often. I have lost two friends within the last year. I knew them both from the same place of employment. They both knew each other well. One past away at the young age of 58 of pancreatic cancer. 5 months later, my other friend dies suddenly of a heart attack at an even younger age of 55. Needless to say, I was left reeling.

But enough of the sad news. Take care and keep on motoring.
