Meteor vs. Satin Silver

Just looking over some past posts, it looks to me like the Satin Silver is way more popular than the Meteor Silver... I have not seen either in person. What is the primary difference, and why does everyone seem to favor the Satin Silver?

Just wondering...

Meteor is a light blue in some lights, and only available with quartz interior. Satin is pure silver, and comes with ebony (as well as quartz?)

It's because the Meteor Silver is really Baby Blue!

Satin silver is just that - silver. A rich, bright, very metallic silver. Meteor silver is a very light blue metallic silver. I like it, but a lot of people don't like it nearly as much as the satin silver.

The satin silver is easy to imagine. The meteor silver you'd have to see.

Count... thanks for the feedback...

I am by no means a car expert, but to me, the Meteor Silver, at least in pictures, reminds me of the same silver used by BMW... which I think looks pretty good.

Wouldnt be a huge fan of light blue though myself, so if that's the case I can see why. Are there any people on here that have the Meteor that want to comment?

It's like a much, much lighter version of the blue used by BMW. I personally wouldn't mind getting the silver-blue BMW, but the Meteor Silver is too light for me.

Yea meteor silver is just a more bluish silver. A little too light and it only comes with the quartz interior. So if you're looking for ebony then you cannot get the meteor silver.

Thanks everyone for their opinions... I definitely want to see the colors myself in person, but that helps a great deal.

fdl... thanks for directing me to the gallery... i've actually been able to find a side-by-side comparison from another site and it was helpful... I still don't see the Meteor as a baby blue or light blue and some others have suggested, but I can see where it is not that bright, almost whitish silver that is the satin...

the meteor looks cool, and though I've had some people tell me it looks more like a "girl" color, I think that is ridiculous...

MSM exhibits most of its silver origin in the sun. However, on an overcast day, it's a blueish/grayish color.

SSM looks silverish in all weather conditions.

For me, the deciding factor would be interior color. I prefer Ebony. In fact, the interior has to be Ebony or something close.

I like both the Satin Silver and Meteor Silver. I've ordered a CG, but that didn't arrive as promised---which should have been right about now. As alternates, I am considering either Artic Blue or Satin Silver if a Grey can't show up.

Depends on the lighting condition. In darker lighting, it definitely looks a lot like the steel blue metallic used by BMW. I've seen the car vary from light blue to a hint of aquamarine, all depending on the lighting. Check out the pics from my signature to see the color in both light and dark lighthing.

I like it because the grayish/silverish blue metallic color is rarer on the road, whereas almost half the cars I see are silver in color. The quartz interior is also a plus in my opinion - it looks nice and will be able to hide any wear and staining a lot better in the long run.

George... your car looks sweet.... i really do love that color...

Yui... I can't find your pics in your signature? Is there a link I should be seeing? Thanks for the tips/opinion...

Brad-- the same situation occurred with me. I ordered a Carbon Grey/Ebony and was told it would be coming in this week... now they are telling me they cannot sell the car when it comes in because it is being used as a loaner... they are not allowed to sell it... does that sound right to anyone?? I don't know why they couldnt sell it and turn another car into a loaner?

But anyways, in its place, they are offering me a SSM or MSM with quartz interior. Also offered a blue with the ebony... I just don't know what to do. They are saying at least a six-week wait for a new CG/Ebony-- I can't wait that long?!?!

Ok, here is a side by side comparision of the two...you can clearly see that MSM is more "bluish" than the SSM...

And here are the rest of the comparisons side by side:

I personally chose MSM because I wanted a color that was different. Altho the other colors are nice, I see too many blacks, whites, CGs and silvers on the road of any make car. In a parking lot, I can spot my car a mile away (plus having the spoiler helps). Just my opinion.

I went with the Meteor Silver because blue is my favorite color and and I like a light color here in Texas and I prefer the light color interior.

is the meteor silver the same color that's available on the MDX? I saw one over the weekend and wondered if it was the same elusive color that's available on the TSX, but that I've never been able to see in person.
