Think it might NOT be stolen? Then the answer is no.
Simple enough...
Go ask previous Integra type-R owners if Lo-jack works....
It is VERY easy to disable the transponder on it. When my Integra got stolen a few years ago, the theives simply.....umm never mind
I don't want to teach car jacking 101...

depends upon your area. i would suggest it but DONT LET THE DEALERSHIP screw you on it. Thats a huge moneymaker for the finance offices. I hope no salesmen on here get mad at me for this. Do the research before you buy it. But i would get it

FYI...My Lojack device went off once when the car was parked on the street and hadn't moved since the day before. Very questionable IMO.

If a dealer sold a car for $500 below invoice and the holdback on the car form the factory was $750. Depending on the dealer or how many cars they've sold, they can get anywhere from 25%-50% of that profit which is $250. If the buyers load up with aftermarket alarms, lojack, extended warranties, gap insurance, etc... the salespeople get nothing. The financing managers get that.
i chose not to install lo jack myself, didnt feel like spending the extra money, but i do use it quiet frequently. lo jack is linked with stolen vehicle system. If you should report your vehicle stolen and we enter it into computer as such, it automatically activates the stolen transponder. some helicopters and lots of blk/wht have it installed and are on and tracking 24/7. much better than on star and those things. We recover cars every single cause of lo jack, and like advertise. usually within first 24 hours if not first few hours. Its standard stuff on our chopper and cruisers.
If u want piece of mind, get it, if it dont matter to u and u rather get a new car if stolen, dont get it.
For the poor guy that the transponder got activated, probably some secretery in the office entered your VIN number by accident :p

Not to be rude but this is not correct information, at least not in the state of washington. A sales person makes between 20 and 25% of the total sale profet, front end, back end, etc. Thus if I sell you a acura for 10k and you buy gap and a extended warr, and end up paying 15k for the car I will get a cut of the profets on the total sale. My best friend sells cars and I have sold cars in the past. If you arent getting cash for the entire sale, you are getting jacked as an employee.

It all just makes me question the use of a security device that sometimes works right. Will it work when I really need it to? Just a question I ask myself often.
