Um... Aero kit is easy to install. If yuo can use a screwdriver and tape then you can install the kit. The kit basically goes over the front bumper, sides, and rear. It's easy. Trust me, you'll want the kit! Plus the kit pretty much completes the car. Search for pics of members TSX's with the kit on there.

Just as Wilson said its easy to install, I did mine in a matter of a couple of hours (refer my avatar), besides this way you have the extra money to spend on more mods as appose to paying the stealership the insane labor charges.

Give it a shot and try doing it yourself, it's really really easy. I had no clue what I was doing back when I installed mine, and it took me like 45 mins for the front, and figuring out how not to break the clips (easy after you do the first), and then maybe 20 mins for each of the remaining ones (after I got a better idea of what to do).

You dont' even need a jack or anything if your car is not lowered, the TSX in stock form is tall enough for you to get underneath it and be able to install the kit. It's basically unscrewing like 4 bolts and 6 clips on each end, put on the underbody spoiler, put back screws, peel the tape backings, and done. I think the only tools I need were 10mm socket, philips screwdriver for the sides, and maybe a flathead screwdriver to help remove the clips.

Trust me, it's very intuitive

Kit Install

Hi

I'm also from Toronto and I plan on doing the same thing.

What were you quoted for the parts and labour?

I am having a really hard time finding a TSX with an aero package so I was going to get it installed at the dealer after. Want to find out the cost.

Again, just do it yourself. Having the dealer install it will likely involve a charge for about 3 hours of labor, which, at the USD $80/hr. rate typical of dealerships, will run you about USD $240 whereas a set of handtools and an ability to follow instructions will allow you to do it in about an hour on your own.

You missed the group buy in the black market section that was going on last week. it was an entire kit for $820 shipped!
The price is now back to $911 shipped. Still a good deal IMHO.

Thx

Hey thanks

That website is great. The funny thing is that the installation of fog lights look harder than the actual install of all the skirts and spoiler ...lol

The 04's are different than the 06's correct? in terms of the kit?

The kits on their are the same kits the dealer orders correct?

Have you check out Acura Woodbine yet??? They have those crazy sales for OEM kit, come painted, and only $700 for the whole kit + 15% Tax I guess.

Oem

Just left them a voicemail message. I'll check out a couple other places. That seems like a really good price.

Acura of North Toronto quoted my $2500 installed. That seems a little hefty if you ask me considering the ease of installation after reading the instructions.

Was talking to one of the dealers, they told me they actually uninstall the front and rear bumpers first in order to loosen some bolts. Anyone install it this way?

^^If you read the install directions @ hondaacuraworld.com, you'll see that removing the bumper is completely unnecessary. As long as you can get under the front and rear parts of the car, you should have no problems accessing the bolts/fasteners. At most, you may need to get the car up on jack stands. If your car isn't lowered, you shouldn't have to do even that.

Sounds like your stealer is trying to justify his exorbitant fees.

My kit should be here next week, and I plan on installing it myself, with the help of a friend. And I'm no mechanic. It doesn't look that hard.

You can do it yourself..it's easy. You definitelly do not need to remove the bumpers...if you don't have the correct too to slide a philips head screwdriver in the rear wheel well to screw on the self tapping screws, you'll have to take off the rear wheels, that's about it. The front wheels, you can turn the wheels left or right to gain more access room. Other then tools, a second person is useful to help hold the pieces in place.

I do recommend that when you buy the kit, open the sideskirt bag that has all the nuts and bolts. There are 4 washers in there. Go out and buy about 8 more. I found that when putting the 2 plastic clips for the sideskirt underneath the car, it's a bit loose so just add more washers till it's not loose.

If you need more help..let me know.

BTW: I bought my kit at Acura Woodbine, also bought a foglight kit while I was at it since it's such a damn good price.

Try Acura East, some people from the RSX forums said they are selling kits for the same price as Acura Woodbine.

Kit

Oh ya..the kit makes the car look completely different by far! Hate those ugly mud guards....ewww

I went over to Acura Woodbine, they had some left in different colors. Their prices are fantastic... 80% off. Only $97 CDN for each piece and they have had this sale going for the last 5 weeks. They are also shipping all over North America for anyone who wants it. Everything sold in seperate pieces of course.

All the other dealers are still selling them for cheaper than retail price but still not as cheap as Acura Woodbine.

I'm guessing he gave you the wrong price because on the special, only kit that's $97 is the RSX kit.
