Hmmm... I've been active on the forum for a few weeks now as I've readied myself to purchase this vehicle, and only now have I realized how young everyone is around here (okay, I'm a little envious I suppose) ;-). Is this the standard TSX demographic, or is it just that only the younger drivers tend to share their TSX wisdom and experience online? I certainly wasn't driving $30K cars when I was in my 20s (again, just a little envious)!

well i bought my tsx thanks to all your tax money :P actually i was deployed to iraq for a year and came back with 38k and decided to buy the tsx. i would have never have enough money if i never got deployed. so i can proudly say that i worked hard for this car

I just got lucky and got one as a high school grad gift...I needed a new car anyways before college...I was driving a 95 4runner before, we've had it for 10 years until I got my 05 tsx .

Sixty-five here . . . no real TSX wisdom to share (altho I recall putting up some leasing info last year) . . . but enjoying the heck out of my 07 - after many years in Bimmers.

I'm 23 years-old got my TSX when I was 20. Working at Walgreens and manging a restaurant sucks but I love my TSX. I've been taking about a Lexus IS 350 lately.

If you lived in Ohio, you'd see a demographic of 30-50 yr old women driving the TSX, so for me, it has been a little bit of a let down. I've seen a few guys around my age driving them, but few and far between.

I work a desk job in a sizeable company in Cincinnati and paid my TSX off late last year, ~ 6mths ahead of time. So don't let the youngins on here fool you, we have our share of soon to be AARP members who mod their TSX (uh ummm jlukja, JTso)

I'm an engineer at a semiconductor company, making very decent money for my age (24, $65k) and Boise is a very inexpensive place to live.. Most other engineers that desire nice cars here that are my age drive 350z's or Evos or STi's or 328i. I knew if I got one of those I probably would have put it into a wall or wrapped it around a pole so the TSX was the compromise choice (enough power to keep me interested, not enough to kill me). I love my buddy's Z, i've had it going sideways before, so I know that if it were my car it would have killed me. I agree that most TSX's are driven by women, but the woman usually has the nicer car, at least if the man know's whats good for him ;-)

I completely agree with the Ohio demographic comment. I have yet to see another guy driving one in NW Ohio. I have been at my current company for 4 yrs now since graduating from The Ohio State University and have slowly moved up. Just financed mine on a loan last summer.

Before that I had a 05 Dakota (POS) with manual locks/windows etc.

In Western PA I'd say most the TSX drivers I see are 40+, both male and female with perhaps a slight lean in the female direction. I see a couple people in their 20s and they are almost always male.

An internet forum is going to be a very skewed population sample. It's predominantly younger males here. Oddly, I'd guess the average age on the TSX boards is a good bit older than that of the TL boards, despite the fact this car is marketed directly at the young professionals. I think the vast majority of the younger people on the TL side had the car handed to them by their parents. The attitude there reflects a certain air of undeserved accomplishment. I like it over here better where most of the people pay for their own cars and respect them accordingly.

The TSX attracts all kinds of buyers. You see a lot of younger folks but it's surprisingly popular with older women as well. It's kind of like the Prelude in that sense, I always remember seeing women in their 40's and 50's driving them.

In Canada a TSX will set you back around CDN $33K to $40K (despite dollar parity ). As a result I think that the demographic is somewhat older in comparison to the US. I am 42 and there was no way I could have reasonably afforded this car in my 20's. That said, it was worth the wait!

you will see more young people as time goes on. they are looking at used TSXs so it is more affordable for their parents (assuming the parents are purchasing the car for their child). I've already noticed this with a lot of the 04s.

Hey, I was "younger" when I bought the 04 back in late 03. I think the TSX is suitable for all ages, as it has something for everyone.

used TSXs seem a little more in the younger crowds price range. also I dont see ppl over 30 really into moding up their car and going crazy on the forums.

also keep in mind TSXs get cheaper when you remove options.

personally i bought mine as my 21st birthday present to myself. I work at an engineering firm just out of school and make good money it all works out.

The TSX was my first somewhat sporty car. What I found appealing about it is that it was sporty, yet had some luxury too. The TSX sold me on the Acura products and now I'm in an 08 TL-S and havin a ball! The MOD bug bit me hard with my TSX and trying to keep it in check with this TL-S, but it's very hard!! As far as younger people in Acurazine, I think forums are just a younger persons domain. Most older people don't live on their PC's and are doing whatever older people do.

i leased mine, and im 19 and i got it when i was 17. not that hard to pay$400 a month. Parents help me out with insurance and all that. who ever lives in toronto knows how expensive insurance is.

im a new young owner too. I'm 22 and just purchased a 08 TSX. Ive always had nice cars since i was 16. Had a porsche 944 and got a porsche 944 turbo when i was almost 18. after that just been though bunch of other cars and still have some. have a 04 accord and recently sold my 01 acura cl. I guess i was fortunate to get a such great job at the age of 18 and been still doing it

I think the TSX itself appeals to a wide range of ages.

I think an internet forum appeals to younger folks (30's and down). However looking around, just about every TSX driver I see is at least 40 or older.

paid for my 07 tsx in cash at the age of 18. i'm not currently 19. I've been doing lots of business related stuff and finally started up a business of my own and kept it running smoothly ever since.

Working hard does pay off.
