...the verdict is in for the 2005 TSX in Canada:

Navi is available

Red is Out

Indigo Blue is Out

Carbon Gray is In

Artic Blue is In

There are six colors in all: Black, White, Silver, the two above and one I don't remember.
Sorry, I was so happy about the Artic Blue.

Also saw that a new Burnt Orange Metallic is available on the RSX.

The salesman told me that they have had the color and trim guide for about a week. Maybe someone with contacts at an Acura dealership could scan it and post it.

 

Nice find. I knew IBP would be out but always figured Red would hang around with Ebony as the Int.

I guess Soze will be assisnating some Acura execs.

Well, you roll your eyes but its true. Your car is now extremely rare. There are probably only a couple of hundred ever made (i dont think they offered that color in europe either).

 

No, it was offered in Europe or Japan. I recall seeing pics of the Accord in that color.

But still, a pretty rare "TSX" nonetheless, although I doubt it will add anything to resale.

I understand why they drop the red but why they drop IBP? I think it is as common as PWP in Toronto! If CG was available for 2004, for sure I am driving one now instead of PWP.

For 5K maybe. I seriously doubt the Navi will be a 2K option like it is in the US. Probly closer to 3K.

I gotta sympathize with the CA guys here. Why in the world would Acura hold out the Navi for ONE year???? That's just wrong IMHO.

 

Are there any other changes other than color for the 2005 TSX? I really want the Carbon Gray, but sold my car and not sure what to do for 2 months until the 2005's arrive. Any suggestions??

 

I think because they wanted to ensure that the '04 was the "first" Acura in Canada with navi. I remember reading blurbs to that effect in the '04 TL literature. Then again, I'm not sure if the MDX had navi in Canada before '04. Either way, '04 Canadian TSX owners got jacked!

 

I'm not sure if I would pay the extra $3000 or so for the navi... I mean, why not just ask for directions?

 

Personally I wouldn't either. I can't really see needing it unless I was in some far away city. In which case I would probably be in a rental car anyways.
