You need the Festoon style, 30mm X 10mm, 4LED style. 1 per map light, and 1 for the rear light. The door bulbs are 168/194 style.

Note I have red ones and although they look cool, they are very, very dim.

I went with blue 9-LED bulbs in the doors, a 4-LED bulb in the rear dome, and a pair of white Xenon bulbs in the map lights.

Got the 9-LEDs for the doors from eBay seller tec_toyz. (He has some auctions with 9-LED bulbs, and some with 6-LEDs). I know a lot of people on this forum have the 6-LEDs either from tec_toyz or from Autolumination, but I saw the 9-LEDs from tec_toyz and decided to give 'em a try. I really like them -- they're bright enough to see and notice during the day, and they're super great at night. See two pics I took below when I installed them...one in pitch dark, and the other with moderate lighting.

I put a blue 4-LED bulb (purchased from superlumination.com -- the "LED Festoon Bulb" in Blue, 31mm) into the rear dome light. Also got two "Xenon Super White Festoon Dome Light Bulbs", 31mm, on the same page for the map lights. I decided to go this route -- with the blue in back but the bright white in front -- because I liked the idea of having the blue overhead, but still wanted to be able to use the map lights. Plus the factory map light bulbs are too bright IMHO, and they don't look as good as the pure light of the Xenon bulbs.

Here's a pic I took while installing, to show the difference between the Xenon and the factory bulb. The bulb on the left is the Xenon -- considerably dimmer than the factory (although still adequate for reading). It's a lot less "in your face" when you get into the car in very dark surroundings. Plus the color is a lot more crystal clear, and as someone noted in one of the older discussions about these bulbs, it matches the dash lighting better.

Left: Xenon bulb. Right: Factory bulb.

Finally, here's a before and after pic of the 4-LED bulb in the rear dome light.

i bought the dome lights from the tec toys company on ebay and within 2 months the blue faded away and eventually the lights actually went completely out. It was the biggest waste of money i ever spent.
Now what I did was go to any local auto store and in the aftermarket lights department there's red, blue, and green rubber condom looking things that go over your OEM dome lights. After they're on for a minute or so they melt around the lights and never fade like the tec toys one.
The LED lights for the doors that tec toys sold me however have lasted for about a year now no problems. its just the dome lights that suck

I bought the interior package from Tec-Toyz on ebay and it is really good. I chose the white LED's. The whole package including shipping was under $30. Bulbs for: doors, front and rear interior. Very easy and quick to install. Remember to let the factory bulbs cool before popping them out into your hands, they get rather hot!

Yes, I bought some blue (OEM) type lights at Autozone and they are just not very bright at all. I was very disapointed. LED's are much nicer.........

Has anyone else changed their map lights?? Damned things are so freaking bright, my right eye saw giant spots for five minutes the first time I turned it on (and no I was not looking directly at it). Can you get the same type of bulbs ("Xenon Super White Festoon Dome Light Bulbs") at Pep Boys or Autozone?

The user manual has detail instruction on how to replace the blub. It did require some force to pop the cover (i was afraid that I am going to break the plastic ) . However, overall it is quite painless as long as you follow the instruction in the manual.

3022-x9 LED Festoon bulb

I was reading through the thread, and everyone seems to be using the 4 led feston bulbs. I previously used these for the map and rear dome lights, but to tell you the truth, the light is just to dull. On the superbriteleds web site your can find the 3022-x9 LED Festoon bulbs, with 9 leds. They will fit in the map / rear dome spaces, and they are, as you can imagine, twice as bright than the 4 led feston bulbs.

Why did you find the need to capitalize the letter of every word?

carefully use a flathead screwdriver. put like a paper towel around it or something so it doesnt scratch.
it'll pop right off. i know the feeling of not wanting to break it.

Do the lights still dim slowly with the LED's?

I assume that's a function of voltage dropping slowly but I don't know how LED's react to that.
