Installing a cold air intake
Hello everyone. I was just wondering how many members here have installed a cold air intake. I searched online and can only find one that fits our cars (Injen). If anyone does have one, did you install it yourself? If so, is it a hard thing to do? I've never really worked on a car before, so is it like a "follow the directions" thing or is it more complicated than that? I would like to thank yall in advance for your help.

Intake on AT = okay. Not gay.
The difference between Short Ram and Cold Air:
1) Short Ram is easier to maintain (easy access to filter for cleaning)
2) CAI produces more power (away from engine bay = colder air)
3) Short Ram is louder.
4) Short RAM focuses on high RPM power increase where CAI focuses on midrange.

Ortiz, who would you pay to install it? I have no idea what i'm doing under the hood and i really don't want to mess up my car. If i bought one, do you think the dealer would install it?

Lung do you feel a difference? How is the sound?
Daaaaammmmm, that look complicated to install. I think I will just pay someone to do it. I'm ordering mine on Wed.

The sound is pretty good. Try HERE for a sound clip. The little "burp" that sounds like an MP3 enocding error is actually the VTEC switching cams.
The install isn't actually that complicated. But if you feel safer, most places will install it for $150 to $200.
