In one of these forums somebody mentioned cars with blue ignition keyhole lights being different from cars without. I assumed all of the TSX have them? I tried a search and nothing came up.
I admit it's a dumb question, so don't hold it aginst me OK?

The only difference is build date. Cars with the green ring around the keyhole are from earlier build dates while cars with the blue ring are from more recent build dates.

BTW, mine is Blue and bought in Aug 2003.

The green ring club is a very exclusive one. We are a small , and powerful group, that hold influence from business to politics. Beware the greenring.


Seriosuly though, there were very few green ones made. They probably had a bunch of bulbs to finsih off before moving to the blue ones. I think there are only a handful of people on this site with green rings, myself included.

ortiz, what're the last 6 digits of your VIN? My car is from one of the early batches, with a build-date in mid-April of 2003 and delivered on May 16th, 2003.

 

All hail the green rings! (even though I secretly admire those with blue rings cause it matches better) I suppose it doesnt really matter cause I didnt really realize that the key ring was lit anyway.

 

Build date 07/'03. Came off the truck at my dealership 8/20/03. Bought it same day but had to wait til 08/21/04 to pic it up until it went through dealer inspection.

Added vin to my sig.

Okay my build number is 577 (Canadian) and have the rare 'green' key ring.

I wonder what the transition number is?? (from green to blue)

 

the blue one looks better anyways. i had a green key ignition color on the 6th gen accord.
