In the picture below, the part i am trying to replace is # 15. The clips on the old one snapped so I got another. Does anyone know how to take that piece out? Is it a clip on and screws or does it come straight out?

 

There are metal and plastic clips that will pop out, but you have to take the trunk lock cylinder out first and I think that's held in by a screw or two. It's been a while since I removed it, can't be more descriptive.
