Here's the Invoice
Here's the Invoice
Just talked a dealer today and filled out the paperwork for purchase. Prices may vary from coast to coast but the price in the Midwest minus destination and any other fees for an 06 Manual non nav is $25,436. So while MSRP is $27,890 I walked out of the dealership today with tinted windows, all weather mats, and 1 yr free maintenance (oil changes, detailing, etc.) for under $27K (black on black manual non nav).
My price started to drop the second I talked to other dealers and internet sellers. When you walk into the dealership they have the edge because this is a new car, a rare car, and there's nothing out there like it (let's not get into a BMW argument and if anyone says VW I'm going to vomit). So the only way for YOU to get the edge is to get these minions of satan (car salesmen) to fight with each other. BTW good choice on your car

The numbers I got were still not as good as I requested, but I feel that there is still room for negotiation. However, I didn't have as much time today to dicker as I usually do, plus this is only the first dealership I've gotten solid confirmation from so I wil be seeing if the other 3 dealers in the area can beat the price.

No more fight, I'm dumping the car at that dealership and going to another one. I have no patience for lies. Car dealers, lawyers, and TV evangelists....Jesus jello-fighting Christ....I know there are good versions of these people somewhere I just haven't found them yet.

I haven't decided on it for sure, but I miss driving MT and the additional equipment on the 06 was very enticing.
I just need to find the right deal.

So the invoice with destination is at $26k...making it almost impossible to get an 06 TSX at under $28k...*sigh*
pick your head up young fellow. It should not be too hard to get an 06 for a few hundred under 28k

+ destination ($615) = $26,686.90
+ ad fee ($150) = $26,836.90
+ tint ($125) = $26,961.90
+ doc fee ($300) = $27,261.90
- trade in ($2500) = $24,761.9
+ 7.525% sales tax ($1863.33) = $26,625.23
Floor mats were free, 1 yr maintenance free, and tinting was 1/2 price. Ad fee is something fun we have in the midwest. So while this wasn't a great deal by any means I think I did ok for my first time in a high pressure high dollar (to me anyway) situation.

Dealer ---> :thief: <--- Your money.
I made a deal $750 over invoice.
It looks like the vehicle will be just under $28,200 OTD
I was hoping for under $28,000 w/ floor mats and wheel locks...do you think that is reasonable?
My vehicle won't be available till the end of the month!

Are there any web sites with documented invoice prices? Edmunds, Kelly BB, etc. don't have the info for the 2006. I need the documentation ammunition when I go to place my order this weekend.

With my car in that condition, it seems like it'd be a good deal to even get MSRP on the '06 TSX if they would just take my car in. Otherwise my extra wear mileage penalty will be over $3000 when my lease is done with in Mar. 06.
