Headlight Tints Problem
Headlight Tints Problem
I have my headlights tinted with the vinyl tint. However they suck at night because the light gets caught up in between the tint. It makes the lights extremely dimmer and the lights dont shoot out so far or high which makes it hard to see at night without having my fog lights on. I was thinking that the reason behind the light getting trapped is because of the vinyl.. I was wondering if any of you have personal expedience with this problem. I was thinking of just taking them off and spraying my headlights with the spray tint made for headlights hoping the lack of vinyl would allow more light through and for the light to not be trapped. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance
Hmmm let me see if I have the progression of events correct here:
1) I put something to make my lights appear darker.
2) My lights are too dark to see at night.
3) Ask the internet what I should do to make my lights brighter.
4) Receive sarcastic responses.
Logic FTW!

A lot of the pickup trucks around here have "blacked out" headlights and taillights, makes me laugh it does, looking at them reminds me of Stevie Wonder or a blind person.
Going back to the original posters question, to get the best possible light output you would need to use tint film that is specifically designed to let light out put out. Cheap tints wont do this.

And I agree with everyone else, you want brighter lights at night, remove the film or pay a lot of $$ for the special vinyl that allows light to go through easily.
