Grey Turned Blue?

My Carbon Grey w/Ebony TSX was supposed to have been ready this month. The dealer received "that" CG TSX this week but it had a Quartz interior, which I turned down and someone else readily bought.

I mentioned that I am open to other colors as long as it's 6MT, has Ebony interior, and without Navi.

I turned down a handsome black model that he currently has. There's a blue arriving shortly. I might consider that one. The Arctic Blue was orginally my first choice. It's quite beautiful, but I tend toward understated style and presense.

After having set numerous members' Grey TXS's on my computer background, I am looking for pictures of the blue. Any URLs would be appreciated.

Brad you shoulda taken the CG/Quartz.
Then we can swap cars since CG/Quartz was my first choice of color combo. Saves you some trouble to have to break in the new car ya know...

I was on the same boat as you. I turned down a CG/Quartz because the Quartz just didn't cut it for me. I HAD to have the Ebony interior. That was higher on the "must have" list than the exterior color. So I turned down a CG/Quartz for a SSM/Ebony. I'm not regretting it one bit. The SSM is SO easy to keep clean and the Ebony interior is just so beautiful!!!

That's pretty much nearly what I told my dealers. My priority criteria are:

1) Manual Tranny.
2) Ebony Interior.
3) Prefer CG, but would consider other colors with Ebony (SSM and Arctic Blue).

I like silver, but my previous two cars were silver (and easy to clean) but I'm ready for some other color this time.

I've been building up excitement for the past 40 days "drooling" over other members' pix grey TSXs, and now this!

Funny, that's my story as well. I wanted CG/Ebony; but CG/Quartz showed up instead. I turned it down, someone else bought it. I ended up getting SSM/Ebony, and I love it! Ebony or BUST, for me at least!

Thanks. It's a beautiful car.

I've also asked my dealer about SSM/Ebony availability. I haven't decided if I like SSM or Arctic Blue better, but they are viable alternate color choices for me. They are both nice. Maybe I'm a bit self-conscious of the Blue being so abundantly full of color.

My preferences are:
1). Carbon Grey
2). (Tie) SSM or Arctic Blue.

But they must have Ebony interiors and 6 sp MT.

I had a silver Passat before my TSX so I was tired of silver. The blue is very blue and will stand out, but I like it that way. It seems like almost every car is "colorless" these days (white, silver, grey, or black).

Request for "sanity check". Feel free to tell me that I'm full of hooey.

In the back of my mind, here's another issue concerning Color choices: Drug gangs and color identity.

The major drug gangs are split between identifying by either of two main colors: red and blue. I don't know one group from the other, and I really don't care. But I've read where some people are attacked, shot, wounded, or killed because of suspicion by one gang about the color displayed--even if it's a totally innocent non-affiliated person who happens to show red or blue. The person happened to be in the wrong place with the wrong color.

Has anyone decided NOT to buy a red or blue car--even though you would have liked that color--because of concern about drug gang color affiliation?

And your contribution adds what value? Being more pointless and even more boring?

Nope, I've never thought about someone mistaking a car's color for a gang sign. Blue is a little different, but red is way too common (on cars in general) for anyone to connect the two. Maybe if you live in an area with a lot of gang activity though?
