Feeling with A/C on/off

It's known that A/C sacifices performance on cars with smaller motors...
2.4L isn't big, but its not terrribly small either...
As summer approaches im starting to A/C more a bit.....
Today I felt like with A/C on the car didn't feel as agile....

Does anyone here feel the same way?

No, just turn down the temperature target then.

Yes, it feels a tad sluggish. Not to mention a slight increase in overall vibrations/shaking.

You shouldn't expect too much for 30k dollars.

I haven't noticed any additional vibrations but if you really have the compressor on full blast it def takes away some power. I was acutally just out yesterday trying it out.

EDIT:

My dad used to have a CL-S though and he complained about the same thing.

Wow even a CL-S? A four banger I could understand, but I guess how hard the condenser rate really affects it. I dont really notice any vibrations, just the engine runs noiser and less power. Never thought a V6 would feel the same way, interesting.

I never felt it personally but he always complained about it. I took his word for it.

Well, not vibrations, exactly .... but you can feel the compressor turning on/off via the steering wheel.

Yeah, it robs power from the engine for sure and the car becomes a tad sluggish at low rpm (< 2500rpm). Overall though, there's still plenty of power left to propell the car with acceptable acceleration.

I don't feel any vibration/shaking though I can just hear the relay or switch or something like that when the compressor kicks in.

I have a 3G TL, and my brother has a 2G TL-S... I can definitely feel the power loss at certain rpms/speed in both cars, but nothing I'd complain about... it's hardly any at all. Doesn't TSX cut off/turn off AC during full throttle?

Yea, i could feel the same thing.
Even in my 4runner that i used to own, when i kicked the A/C on and off i could feel a difference in power.

I've read other posts before mentioning at WOT the AC does get turned off automatically, though I've never tried that to confirm. I doubt that's something covered in the owner's manual

You guys complained too much about your Acuras.

Before I got my TSX I had a 95 Corolla which got only 105 hp. Imagine how fast it ran with the A/C on.

the a/c on the tsx does kick out at WOT, but it takes a few secs before you feel the extra power
