Feeling with A/C on/off
Feeling with A/C on/off
It's known that A/C sacifices performance on cars with smaller motors...
2.4L isn't big, but its not terrribly small either...
As summer approaches im starting to A/C more a bit.....
Today I felt like with A/C on the car didn't feel as agile....
Does anyone here feel the same way?

Wow even a CL-S? A four banger I could understand, but I guess how hard the condenser rate really affects it. I dont really notice any vibrations, just the engine runs noiser and less power. Never thought a V6 would feel the same way, interesting.

Yeah, it robs power from the engine for sure and the car becomes a tad sluggish at low rpm (< 2500rpm). Overall though, there's still plenty of power left to propell the car with acceptable acceleration.
I don't feel any vibration/shaking though
I can just hear the relay or switch or something like that when the compressor kicks in.

I have a 3G TL, and my brother has a 2G TL-S... I can definitely feel the power loss at certain rpms/speed in both cars, but nothing I'd complain about... it's hardly any at all. Doesn't TSX cut off/turn off AC during full throttle?

Even in my 4runner that i used to own, when i kicked the A/C on and off i could feel a difference in power.
