This thread, at 14 pages right now, is approaching the length of the manual.

Ha-ha, no, I just work efficaciously on some things. The evidence that I'm squandering my free time is my recent eBay activity.
Today we had heavy rain, so I confirmed that on the slowest intermittent setting (longest delay), the wipers do NOT stop entirely at a full stop. They still swiped every 10 seconds or so. But a fresh wipe does happen when you release the brake.
This thread, I fear, will never get as long as the 270(?) page manual. But there's less cruft.

Works in my 06. Takes for-freaking-ever though. sooo not worth the effort. Plus, you can't set it back to the auto mode this way, either - you can only toggle between day and night modes.

If you insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the ON(III) position, and hold it there for about 2-3 seconds, some sounds will come from the engine, accompinied by some shaking, and the car will, how do I say..Turn on?

Auto Dim for Rearview mirror
Hey, why didn't my easter egg get included on the list . . . when you are in a situation where the rearview mirror is dimmed (greenish color), noticed when I back out of my garage (dark area with daylight coming from behind), the green tint goes away (the "auto" button on the rearview doesn't turn off). My car is 04 5AT and this happens when I get into reverse. I think that is an awesome feature. Again, the auto dimming effect goes away, but the "auto" light on the mirror is still on (default). Someone please confirm and that I am not imagining things.

I could be mistaken, but I recall it was said the auto-dim "turned off" in reverse. I tested it, it stayed on. Also, what you're describing is as designed. Check p. 145 (2006 manual).
To borrow from Jessica Rabbit, "I'm not really an RTFM dweeb, I'm just drawn that way."

The autodimming rearview mirror does turn off when in reverse in my car....I know this because I have a radar detector wired to the mirror and it turns off whenever I hit reverse. I think I hooked it up to the wrong power wire, so I need to change it (there are 3 wires not just 2 going into the mirror). Anyway, definitely does turn off the auto dimmer when in reverse.

My only basis was the light stays on in my 2006 in reverse. Also note that, according to the manual, the auto-dim occurs when the sensor detects direct headlights. So in a garage, looking back, I wouldn't presume that the auto-dim does anything. But based on your input, I'd say that qualifies as an Easter egg.

I just realized that when you're at the Tire pressure screen on the MID, you can press the other button to bring up the actual pressures.
It's probably been said here/in the manual, but it came as a pretty big shock to me

Sweet, and I never realized that the sportshift mode wont shift down if your revs are too high, but will do it when the lower gear will be under redline if you try to downshift too early

Change Menu and Map Colors
I read a couple of the things on here, but didnt see this one yet...forgive me if it has been mentioned.
You can change the color of the Map both the day mode and night mode and also the colors of any menu. This is different then the one you see in the setup that makes it those awful colors. To get to the screen you get the diagnositc menu by doing the Setup, Map Guide, Cancel...then when you are on that screen hold the Info and Map Guide buttons and you will get a screen that says For Developer. there are some other things in there about the version and all that good stuff, but mainly the best part is the ability to change the colors. you will get an R G B field and you can set the values from 0-255 on each. pretty cool!! i made mine orange for day and blue for night just to try something new.

I've updated the PDF I'm hosting on my site with the rearview mirror tip.
I'm going to have to rely on a moderator or other objective source to validate the NAVI tips. (Yes, I'm without NAVI. Take pity upon me.) Not only do I not have the time to go through the 200 page NAVI manual, but I won't know the differences between one year's system to another. Any volunteers?

What is with the little blue light near the interior lights of the car?
I think the purpose of the light is to have some light around the shifter or stick area of the car. Am I right?

Besides, that...yeah, it's just decorative "ambient" blue lighting for the center console. There are also blue lights illuminating the cubby hole doors, too. You need to be parked in a pretty dark area to notice these - I'd bet that quite a few city folks may not even know about those lights.

New discovery: in the climate control OFF setting, you can set the MODE switch to direct where naturally flowing fresh air goes. Nothing else turns on (that I can determine).

HID headlights
I have the 2007 TSX. I have a question regarding the HID headlights. When I am driving in the darkness with my headlights on, I can notice a light going across the the road in my sight of view. The bottom portion of the line I can see very well in the road but the upper portion I can not see well. I was wondering why I can not see everything in front of me and is that just how the HID work and I just need to get used to it. Can I adjust the headlights so that I can somehow shine it higher so that I can see more clearly of everything. Please respond. Thanks.

Yeah. When driving on a slope upward, it is hard to see forward since the HID does not cover all your sight up ahead. Am I blinding the cars on the opposite direction going towards me as you were saying (not having my high beams on)? If so, I guess I can't do anything about it since those are my headlights. If I need to see more of the road up ahead, I'll just have to turn my high beams on. These high beams are great! They really shine.

When I was driving through Montana some guy thought the HID headlights were high beams and rode my tail a while before deciding he wasn't going to chop me up at his cabin up in the hills. They might be doing more harm than good.
