Most cars seem to have a short sound after pressing the lock button twice on the remote. This does not happen on my '05 TSX. Is it the way it should be, or is it a defect?

I have an 04 TSX and it honks. I thought the 05-08 have a low beep?

yes, it should.....and i believe starting in '06, it beeps. i actually like the sound of that.....i kinda wish that when i enable my alarm, it beeps......sorta like the BMWs/Lexuses.

You can turn off the honk on my 04, it should work the same way with the 05. The instructions should be in the owner's manual.

is there a way to change it from a honk to a beep? I have a 2004, and im tired of the honk noise.

I also have a 2003 tl, and it has a beep.

It only honks/beeps to confirm that the security alarm is active. It will only go active if everything is closed (4 doors, trunk, and hood, I think). If your car isn't honking/beeping, it means something is open.

Thanks a lot for your input. And I finally heard the beep!!

The problem was, the beep was so cute and tiny, that I have to park in the garage to actually hear it... I was actually hoping for a cool "chirp chirp" sound though...
