Commuter - Test Drive - Owner
I have come to the conclusion that most of my driving is spent at speeds less than 35 MPH. That's right, I live the glorious life of a commuter spending hours a day on clogged interstates... I was looking for a car to replace my 2000 Accord EX-L. I narrowed down my choices to the TSX or an Audi A4 2.0T.
I was in the vicinity of an Acura dealership one weekday afternoon and decided to test drive the TSX during rush hour traffic. I took a demonstrator vehicle out and told the sales consultant I wanted to sit in some traffic. My sales consultant was a good sport and we found some nice traffic to make our way through
The TSX preformed very well in stop in go traffic. In Atlanta, forget about 0-60 times; its all about 0-20 and 60-0 times...On the way back to the dealership we where going away from the traffic and I was able to experience some of the "finer" selling points of the car.
When compared to the Audi, the TSX-Navi is about 4k cheaper and the Audi is not worth the price difference. Also I was reading in forums that the Audi has reliability issues (if you spend that kind of money on a new car, that is the last thing you want to worry about).
I am happy to report that I decided on the TSX and put my deposit down for a 2006 ABS/Quartz/NAVI-AT. The car should be at my dealership in two weeks; my dealership has to make a trade for it. As a note, if you live in the Atlanta area and you are looking for a new TSX and view Acura.com's inventory, that ABS/Quartz/NAVI-AT is mine so hands off!

That's awesome! I find the TSX very comfortable, which is plus for commutes. I also communte but with much faster traffic (for the most part). Congrats on your new purchase and welcome to AZ
New TSX
Welcome to the TSX family. You will not regret your purchase especially with the Navi and XM in that type of traffic. I gave up on manual trans when I lived in Phoenix a while back with the rush hour parking lots.

Welcome to the forum man. And yeah, I love commuting in the TSX! I've been commuting for almost 5 yrs now and I'm still not tired of the drive. In fact, some days I can't wait to get into my car.
Glad you got auto because MT TSX in traffic is HORRIBLE. I am driving an AT TSX loaner and was stuck in traffic for over an hour today. It was heaven just creeping along by letting go of the brake only. But I still love my MT during the 10% of the time I am not stuck in downtown Chicago or I-94.
