Wink CCC this should be in your summer plans

From the other thread:
I am hopefully going to be doing header, cat, hondata, possible exhaust swap, tow hooks, new grill, and big brakes are my summer plans.
I sure hope you change those plans and be AZ's first K20A TSX!

http://www.hmotorsonline.com/shop/sc...age&item=30014

It now goes for a bargain price of $5,500.00. I remember when it was $6500 when I was considering a k-series swap for my DC2.

If not CCC, any takers? Forget about A/C and the USDM gages, however.

Or better yet, build a frankenstein setup with your current K24 block!

that would be the first tsx with a k20 to be exact.

however I am not ready to lose my ac yet. I plan on keeping my ac always to be exact. I will just have to do a euro r front clip on the front of the car and then I will still have ac.

...But why lose 400cc with the added torque and make a Matrix out of a TSX?

losing 400cc also equal to an addition of 20hp , and an increase amounts of mods, including SPoon 70mm trottle Body and ALOT more goodies....

INCORRECT!!!! with the swap to a euro r motor I would also gain throttle cable and the ability to use greddy emanage and use a HKS turbo system made for the euro r. currently available for a stage 2 turbo now possibly a stage 3.

^ That's what I was thinking =P

At an additional 4-5G's

Is 10k worth it to mutate you TSX into a boosted Euro-R freak (that'll be awesome to see)? Maybe for you

It is if you are truly building a show car! With that Engine and the Greddy Turbo, that's a LOT of points towards the JDM category!! Finish it off with a RHD conversion...and I can say you can win almost at any shows!!

Meh. A big waste of money for nothing. You can do the throttle cable swap for a lot less and still keep the K24A2engine block, build around it and make even easier gains.

You're missing the point -- it wouldn't be JDM.

I know that. But a turbo setup wouldn't be either... unless he scavenged an RDX..

a turbo setupd would be very JDM if I orderd the turbo setup from HKS that is for the accord euro r. I mean that is only sold in japan and I would have to have it imported.

So you get points at car shows specifically for spending a ton of money on something that you could get a nearly identical version of here?

Would you get even more points if you just piled a few million yen into the passenger seat? Or wove seat covers from 1000 yen bills or something?

I am not really going to try to explain the show scene to someone who appears to think JDM Conversions and the Show scene are stupid.

It weighs a lot less, and has shorter gearing.

Well it's not like it's a lot faster anyway. I think they run 0-60 in 6.9 vs. 7.2 for a TSX.
