Bought my TSX last night
I finally bought my car last night. I told the salesman I was dealing with about some of the deals on here and he told me he had never seen a $1000 discount on the car. I started talking to the sales manager about what I had seen, he gave me $1600 off the sticker, then the finance guy cut another $300 off somewhere.
so my out the door price with NC 3% tax, DMV fees and stainguard protection for $200 was 28,900.
I'm happy with that. Still less than sticker.
I pick it up tomorrow!

She's almost as excited about the new car as I am.I'm wondering how long it will be before she trades her civic in on a TSX.

Fiera,
Sounds like you got a sweet deal. Good Job!
I will be moving to NC in about a month and plan on getting a TSX /w Nav as soon as I get there. I will be selling my current car before I leave and fly into RDU.
I was wondering if you or anyone out there could offer some advice.
1) Should I negotiate a deal before I leave and put down a deposit or wait till I get there and spend a day negotiating in person?
2) How expensive are the optional fog lights or is the installation procedure easy enough for an electrically inept person as myself to do without potentially burning a couple of fuses?
3) I plan on driving this car for at least 6-7 years. Would getting an extended warranty be.....warranted? Does anyone have a ballpark figure on say a 7/100,000mi plan?
4) Does NC require front plates? I remember reading about posts regarding ppl in Socal moaning about this.
Thanks and enjoy your daily commute.

pby ... Here's the best advice I can give you ... go see Tom Johnson and tell him I sent you (provench = Provencher = my last name). He is at Leith Acura in Cary (near Raleigh) and will take care of you.
1) I always prefer negotiating in person.
2) Can't comment on that, I have found the HID's to be plenty good in any condition so I opted to not do the fogs at all.
3) Tom can help you out here ... prices on these are negotiable, but for someone keeping the car 6-7years ... 100K warranty might not be a bad idea at a good price.
4) No front plates in NC.
