Black Emblems

I dont wanan shave off my emblems but i was wondering can you make them black? i have a black tsx and i think it would be phat. It would be similar to the Camry SE emblem or this lexus is 300.

http://www.rdmwheels.com/volk/Customercars/sean.htm

notice the third pic down in the corner the "IS300" is black.

Is that just paint or is there a harder/simpler way to do that.

THanks

black chrome would be tight, but how would you do that, would you take it to a body shop and just have them paint those emblems?

chrome is nickel metal electroplated onto another metal, it is not a paint. There are chrome paints, but they are really silver, do not last long, turn dull by touching them, and you cannot clear coat them.

But beyond that, I think black-chrome emblems would look really good, and I would go for a set!

edit:
just found this link about chroming plastic -
http://www.muellercorp.com/chromeplatingplastic.htm

turns out its not really chrome, it's aluminum

A few sites sell lexus and toyota emblems, but does anyone know of an acura one.

http://www.ahmotor.com/product/catologe.html

This site says that it sells gold and black emblems, but im not sure if they actially have "A"s.

Still though how would i get the "ACURA" and the "TSX" black, im guessing that a bodyshop would be my best anwser?

It was also available for the CL. They also had the front emblem and the inner and outer grill. I would do it if it were available on the TSX. I remember the cost being a bit higher but that is dealer cost
