Bay Area TSX - Prizes includes Free Oil Change
Who wants to win a free oil change?
I hope that this will be a good incentive for Bay Area TSX owners to attend

Update::::Need Volunteer Team leads for This coming Saturday
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok attendees, looks like this one is going to be fun.....
There will be a pre-meet drive on April 15th at 11:00am Starting at Acura of Serramonte. I will begin the sign up sheet onthe bottom of the list.
I've just visited Acura of Serramonte to check details for our event. They will clear one side of the front parking lots and move all for sale cars to the right side (if you are facing the location). Mara Mueller (Service Advisor) is looking forward to the event and is trying to get some freebies for us (i.e. free oil change and stuff).
I then drove the alternate route . Not as exciting as last year, but I can promise you...the route will be scenic, designed for photo shoots. We will begin at Acura of Serramonte then drive through San Bruno Mountain. We will then head to Brisbane to 101 south, 380 West, San Bruno/Tanforan exit...head North so Auto Sport Garage. There will be a Dyno (cost TBD), BBQ and some prices to be given away...including the price that Acura of Serramonte will give us.
If the weather and location permits...there will be a surprise detour and we will be priviledge to see the Bay Area in a 360 Deg view.
AutoSport has cleared all the parking lot and willbe able accomodate more tha 100 cars. There will also be some race cars on display.
I hope that this will be a good incentive for Bay Area TSX owners to attend

Seriously after looking at the list of people signed up for this event why aren't many of us bay area TSX owners in it? Cuz I'd definitely want like to meet some fellow TSX owners/enthusiasts . . . plus I always see my friend's pics of their Scion and Club RSX meets and I just wish us TSX guys would represent like that . . . I dunno it's just a thought . . .

This sounds awesome and I'd love to join in, but the weekend is booked. I have to tell you, the number of participants is awesome. I'm actively involved on some truck and SUV sites, and we can't even come close to that number at a few big truck shows each year. Kudos, and I'll be looking for the next one.

My TL's First Time at Infineon Raceway
Well...How do we top this meet.......hhhmmmmm!!!!
I know..... we should have a day at the race track!!!!!
I was invited by Opak Racing to take my car to the Infineon race track and oh boy that was fun!!! I am hooked and would like everyone to experience driving on the track...It's not all about horsepower, it is about driving technique.
F1Lynn came by in the afternoon and got to ride on the OPAK RSX Race car.
So here is what I am planning for our next meet, I was talking to Opak Racing and Autosport garage asking them to sponsor the group so we do not have to pay for track time.
Here is the link to N.A.S.A. Pro Racing schedule.
http://www.nasaproracing.com/norcal/...class.htm#hpde
We can have the meet at ThunderHill on August 11th (Saturday) http://www.thunderhill.com/
OR
We can have the meet at Infineon on September 9th (Saturday)
http://www.infineonraceway.com/
I went to this event today to experience the process first hand....Here is how my day went...all times are close to the actual event and the track time is 20 minutes at a time and for beginners you get 5 times on the track:
6:45 Drive to Sonoma
7:30 Arrived at Infineon and paid my $10.00 entrance fee
8:00 Met with Opak Racing and registered for Level 1 Driving with Instructor
8:30 Went to the Drivers Lounge for Lesson and be assigned to a instructor
9:00 Vehicke inspection to make sure your car has no violation and all safety device are working. My first time on the track riding with my instructor (this was scary..they drive fast) to show me the apex lines
9:45 My car's first time on the Track with the instructor on the passenger side
10:05 Driver's Lounge for download (they talk about what happened on the last drive.)
11:45 2nd time on the track with the instructor...this time I was more comfortable and driving more on the apex lines.
12:30 Parade Lap - This is where your friends and family can ride with you and show them exactly how it feels to be on the race track.
1:45 Third time on the track - Driver's lounge for download afterwards
3:35 Fourth Time on the Track - Driver's lounge
5:15 Fifth time on the Track and drivers lounge
So all in all this will be a full day event...it is cool since there are races in between and the whole family is invited. At infineon there are activities for everyone...and I mean everyone. There is also a time reserved for non racers to experience the track by driving with a registered driver for half hour.
