How to manually side driver's seat back? (broken electrical)
I am facing the exact issue as the guy in this thread. Important difference is that he is actually able to de-pin and fix the connection, and unfortunately I can't figure out how to separate the black and white piece of the connector. For now I will settle for simply being able to move the seat back an inch or two manually. Is there any easy way to manually drive the mechanism? The motor does work, so I guess there is also theoretically a way to manually power it, although I am not sure how to read the wiring diagram (below) or what power source to use. Here are some pics:

I wanted to share some knowledge on a successful repair for intermittent driver's power seat issues. Symptoms are that seat may sometimes not respond to pressing the switches, but the memory function works fine. The issue is that some of the wires in the 20 pin connector under the seat get brittle and break at the connector point.
If you can figure out how to de-pin the connector and solder the wire back on, that's probably an easier repair. The more I played around with the connector though, more wires would just break off. I ended up buying the pigtails for the connector on ebay, cutting off the old one and doing an open crimp type connection on all 13 wires. Now it works flawlessly.

Just curious & for future reference, would you happen to have the ebay link for the 'pigtails' needed to repair?

In your first picture - see that piece that looks like a short speedometer cable - that's basically what it actually is.
If your motor works - you may just have a broken cable inside the housing.
Switch the cable from your passenger seat (get the pass seat where you want it first)
Option 2
If the cable is actually okay - you can clamp the inner cable into a cordless drill and power it which ever way it needs to go.
You may have to power the cable from each end one at time , to move both tracks.
Been a while since I had a seat out.
