Availability and price of TSX 6spd in WA
recently i have been looking for 6spd manual, no nav in the WA and Portland OR area, the best i have turned up is $26190. any recent purchasers esp. in the puget sound area who can lend any insight on their price paid?
i am looking for a popular color, CG or Black or Meteor, and availability is low unless dealers are having computer issues :-) to drive scarcity.
cheers

I ended up purchasing my TSX in Spokane about three weeks ago, because it was hard to find any MT models around the Puget Sound area.
I ended up paying $26,290 (6 sp non-nav) with protection package "thrown in." I was also given an excellent trade-in price on my 2000 Accord, sight unseen.
My experience in dealing with the internet manager in Spokane was very good, whereas the dealers around the Sound did not impress me at all, insisting on playing the good cop/bad cop game., and telling me how scarce their precious TSX was. Acura of Fife, in particular, will never get any future business from me.
So, if you don't mind driving a bit, try a dealer search in the Oregon and entire Washington area. The drive home gives you a nice headstart on your break-in. Good luck.

thanks for the input. in the end i closed the deal for $26,200 for a 6spd non-navi in the Puget sound. Tonkin was great but i closed the deal before i received their final email and the price was only $100 lower which would not cover my expenses for a weekend in Portland.
i have a 2month wait for the car though and it is already killing me - i want my new car :-)
cheers

Actually, I got $26,200 w/ protection package on a 5AT Non-Navi in Lynnwood.
I think they had quite a few 6MT when I picked up the car yesterday.
You can try calling them and withdrawing your deposit.

Lynnwood have all autos - i think we have a simple case of supply and demand here - it is far easier to negotiate a deal when some guy has 9 cars sitting there.
a manual is a tougher prospect given that no dealers have stock in CG.

Bellevue have a beautiful 6MT in black - but i can't bring myself to do black in Seattle - so i ordered the CG. i still have 2 months on my current lease so this is saving me money i guess. still want to get rolling in the new TSX though. congrats on the purchase - $26.2 with the protection dealio is a fine price for this area. Enjoy. The TSX is such a sleeper and about 50 times rarer than a me too 3 series.

Ugh - Acura of Bellevue is really bad.
Most of the people I dealt with there were pushy. I brought backup everytime I went there and they would keep asking both of us if we were buying today.
The only "good" salesperson I found there was Peter Kim. He backed off after I told him I had to think about the price. And he sent one letter after the test drive and didn't harass me non-stop with phone calls. Unfortunately, he couldn't match Lynnwood, so I didn't buy from him.
And I agree, black in Seattle area would be bad.

I was at Lynnwood on Saturday and the only 6MT was in Silver (I test drove it).
There were 6 or 7 AT TSX there.
The salesman I dealt with has been really good, very easy going and not even close to applying pressure. Hopefully I'll solidfy my decision soon.

It's usually a gimmick of some sort to boost the price. Some dealerships pull stuff like saying that the only cars they have are the ones with these packages, forcing you to look at the higher price.
Mind you, not all dealerships have these, or pull things like the above, so YMMV.

You have to be patient and keep an eye on how long inventory is staying on the lot. I got a reasonable price for my TSX Arctic Blue/6MT/Navi for under MSRP ($27507) @ Acura of Seattle.
