What is meant by "one touch" and how is that different than what's on the TSX now?

Only the drivers side window will go down or up automatically if you hold the button down for a second or so. The passenger windows will only go down so long as your finger is on the button.

you can just press the unlock button twice on the key fob and hold it down...if you're talking about doing it while driving then i hope ur not one of those guys that talk on a cell and drive at the same time

Only problem with the key fob is that it doesn't work on the sunroof.

Are you sure the key fob works while you are driving...on many cars it won't work while driving. I think it is a safety issue...(e.g. opening the trunk while driving down the road)

The key fob does not work while driving. I don't think the key fob works with the key in the ON position.

If the key is in the ignition (even part of the way), the key fob will not work.

I meant making all the windows with the switch that the driver side has. . . so they could all be one touch up/down

I don't think it's just a simple change of a switch. I think the one touch feature is in the software in the computer.

I doubt it's software

You could feel how the switch has two settings on it. . . software controlled one touch would be two expensive. . . it's gotta be the switch. . . anyone out there know for sure?

Ok I just checked the service manual (pages 22-196 through 22-198) and there's no way you can just change the switch to enable auto down for the other windows. The driver's side window switch feeds into pins 4, 11, 17, and 23 of the master switch connector. Pins 4 and 17 send out the signal for an auto down or auto up. Pins 11 and 23 are used for the regular up/down functionality. All other windows only have two spaces on the master switch connector. There is no physical means of sending a signal to the window motors on the other windows to go auto up or auto down.
If you want them to go auto up or auto down you're going to have to get pretty creative.....

I still dont understand why they wouldnt at least have included the passenger window with auto touch. How much extra would it have cost at the factory, like 15 cents???

You're probably right Roger. To do it now would be a major pain in the ass but it would have been simple for them to do it had they engineered the master switch panel that way.

Maybe you could swap out switches, or get some from acura. Get three more driver side switches and swap them out. Then you would have enough pins on each switch, and could splice them with the drivers side front window.

I would really like this too.

I was thinking the same thing cmf....anyone have time to test this out. I would, but my TSX hasn't arrived yet! I am hoping it will come soon.

I don't understand why the sunroof doesn't have this? I thought just about every car has this feature except Honda/Acura. If they aren't putting the sunroof switch right under that sunroof, at least help the driver out a little and have it one touch.

Just my 2 cents.

they finally got that part right when designing the 04 tl. a little too late for me though.

It's not as simple as putting in switches with more pins. You would also have to redesign the relay panel to accommodate the extra functionality of those switches. And of course you would also have to take appart the door and run some wires but at that point this should be the simple part.

Not mention hacking the control software to recognize the new signals.
