aspec handling package for rsx avaliable

http://www.vtec.net/news/news-item?news_item_id=243071

I know it isnt Tsx related, but I hope a similar package will be avaliable for the TSX. I just want the suspension kit really. They are going for 600-700 on ebay at the moment, the aspec rsx suspension that is, not the whole aspec package.

Kurt,

Any idea when the TSX Aspec will be released? or a similar kit?

I've always wondered...with the similarities in the suspensions...would it be possible to retrofit a TL A-Spec package to the TSX?

It might be, but it'd probably drive like crap since it was originally designed for a completely different car.

I wouldn't be surprised if you could use some RSX suspension components with the TSX but the weight difference between the two cars would probably make it inadvisable.

They won't share much if anything from the RSX. The RSX uses a control-link Macpherson Strut front suspension and a multi-link rear. The TSX has a 4-corner double wishbone setup. Not much is compatible there. The A-spec should be available to your dealers as we speak. We've got 2 kits in stock. No, you can't part it out. Sorry to spoil the fun.

There is not way a complete A-Spec package is going for that low. Unless someone unloaded a truck in teh middle of the night, they're losing their ass. It includes the wheels, underbody kit, spoiler, and suspension. It's about $5000 for the parts by themselves...not to mention labor.

Tustin Acura (Orange County Calif) sent something out a few weeks ago saying a TSX A-Spec was coming out in October. If that is the case, isn't just best to wait?

I don't think the parts are available yet for the TSX. They are available only for the TL and RSX.

Oh...I thought you were referring to the RSX one in that post.

So how much would it cost to get it installed on a car after the fact?

What kit is it? Is it the OEM body kit previously available in NA, or is it the modulo voltage or Euro-R kit? What all parts are included? Big Brake Kit as in the concept, or just new pads maybe rotors?
