Hmmm, someone having regrets?

In all honesty I was having regrets about a month or 2 after I got the car. I was regretting not buying a V6 and felt the TSX was'nt powerful enough, at least on paper. I have definently changed my stance since then. Maybe the car has grown on me, I don't know. But I never feel as though its underpowered and the car feels very strong and peppy. And there is still not one car I can think of, almost one year later, that I would rather have at that price.

If the Accord were to be redesigned to look good for 05, then I may be regretting that I did'nt wait.

And yes the TSX looks like the tits.

I'm not having regrets. I think when a new 220hp TSX comes out I may have wished that I waited a big longer to buy a new car.

I've noticed a few threads lately, where i got the impression certain people had some buyers remorse, so I was just curious.

This poll should be made sticky for all the newbies that come on to this forum and only read bad news....

I don't regret getting the TSX at all, the car itself has been great so far (knock on wood).

The only thing I might regret is maybe my color choice, still undecided as to whether or not I am completely satisfied there. Like outside color but don't really like interior. . . sort of do . . . sort of don't. . .

No regrets. Maybe I will when an improved TSX comes out, but if I thought that way I'd never buy anything.

I have just had mine since Saturday, but I just love it. All the looks and compliments aren't too bad either.

That is funny, I hadn't seen a CG one on the road (just the lot) before last month. I guy in the building next door to mine at work has a CG 6MT, non-navi.

It was real tough driving by that car everyday while I was waiting for mine. Now he can envy my TSX, with the great fogs and navi.

Yup, agreed. Had mine since May 17th, 2003. I haven't seen that many CGs on the road, but it seems like every other owner who posts here has a CG.

The first pics of Indigo blue I saw were in the UK Accord brochure I downloaded. I just instantly fell in love with it. My perfect color combo would be Indigo blue w/ quartz interior. Unfortunately that one is not made on either side of our border.

No regrets at all. Although this car has a few minor items that could be improved, I test drove about 15 different makes and models under $30K before buying the TSX, and I am confident that this is absolutely THE best car for the money. After three months, my wife still comments how happy she is with it every time she gets in, and I still feel that way, too.

I do sympathize with folks who have experienced structural/mechanical defects (e.g., rattles), and I would encourage Acura to make amends in those cases; but, barring those truly unfortunate instances, this car is head and shoulders above all others in my price range.

That's funny that so many people from the US want indigo blue... it's not very popular here. Silver and white are probably the biggest sellers. I've only seen a couple in person.

I had my TSX since May 17th 2003. Originally, I wanted a CG TSX, but I didn't want to wait 3-6 months for one, so I got the ABP color instead. The TSXs I do see around here tend to be silver, red, and CGs. I don't have any regrets, all the rattling has been fixed and stuff, but sometimes I wish the car had a little more power.

Acura's are Honda's outside of North America. We get more horsepower, a stiffer suspension, and nicer interior than any Accord in Europe or Japan. And My TSX has fogs.

I already gave my best. I have no regrets at all.

I think everyone at some point will have buyer's remorse...remember, the grass is always greener on the other side? Even my girlfriend, whom I love very much, can sometimes get on my nerves. Just the same with the TSX....

Reality, the TSX is the best car I could buy. And remember, EVERY car has some minor problem. It's machine-made afterall...and also the little Japanese men are human too. They make mistakes too. But still better than domestics.

Why are domestics that bad? Because Americans are just too damn big -- makes it harder for them to see the imperfections in their cars.

I have only had a passing thought that I could have saved a lot of money and got a Mazda3, but yes I think I would buy the exact same again if I had another chance. MAYBE gotten white instead of red, but probably not. And probably would have shoved the "paint protection" and "leather protection" in the business manager's face.

I don't regret buy my SSM TSX. I love my car. However, sometime I do wish I had waited for the CG.

The Dark color just look so sweet (when it's clean).

No regrets. No car is perfect and any car choice involves some kind of compromise along the way. I'm very pleased overall. I'd buy the same car again today, in the same colour too (Indigo Blue).

only regrets i have are yeah wish it had a V-6 option, some better Acura customer service like Honda, better safety crash test ratings which none of us knew it had a poor one anyways, and available side moldings cause of the constant ding and dent worries.

You think the cost of fixing a bumper is a good indicator of crashworthiness? I don't. I'm satisfied that my TSX will protect me in a crash just as well, if not better than, any car even close to it's size.

anyone think this bumper thing is blown way out of proportion? Everyone suddenly hates their TSX b/c some study says its expensive to fix. If you had never known would you like your car any more or less? Give it a rest, complain when someone slams into you.

As far as side molding, I love the styling w/o any. Want to prevent dings? Park far away from everyone and find spots next to the curb. Most people probably do this anyway with a new car.

I can care less what it costs to fix the bumper in the rare event I get slammed into.

1) It is always the fault of the person who hits you for following to closely unless your brake lights fail meaning they have to pay

2)Let my insurance pick it up after my $500 deductible. Like I care what they pay. I pay them enough it better cost them if I need a fix

yeah most TSX owners probably are parking far and away from other cars at the moment. i know i try my best to park away.

maybe two more regrets, i sat in the back seat and there is room yes and i like the headrest, but the 6th gen accord had more rear legroom, but if i did want more room i would've bought the new TL. i don't think an extra $6K would be worth it though. also, would've preferred a graphite grey over the carbon grey anyday.

how come gilboman didn't really say anything? he is king of the criticism of the TSX. :P
