Am I crazy

What’s up fells I have a 04 TXS and I like it alright. I’m really thinking about getting a 07 Dodge Charger RT. I mean lifetime power train warranty I think the domestic are not built well myth doesn’t really matter with that type of warranty. I know everyone going to talk about gas mileage but almost all of you guys are trying to go faster anyway so why do we act like we care so much about gas. Anyway just thinking out loud 340 stock hp seems pretty cool to me.

After spending a week in an 06 Charger while my TSX was in for service, the Charger is a turd on wheels, inside and out. When I had the Dodge for an all too long week, I kept thinking to myself everytime I saw all the RT & SRT Chargers "no matter the cubic inches, big rims, seat stitching or badging theses cars suck across a the board". And I came from a run of LT1/LS1 F-Bodies. If you want straightline power then go for the Dodge; if you want quality keep the the TSX.

I was in a Charger for three weeks while one of our vehicles was in for body work. This car is horrible. Nothing positive to say about it. I was in a 6 cyl. version of the car though. I dont know too much about the 8 cyl. versions of the car. Drive it, and if it feels right, go for it. Even with the warranty you mentioned I would still be worried about the reliability factor. I would hate to have to constantly bring my car in for unscheduled services. Assuming it has some reliability issues.

I never cease to be amazed by the kinds of cars some fellow TSX'ers gaze at. If there is anything apealing about a cheap American car with large displacement or a budget brand SUV, how would a person have found themselves in a Japanese entry level luxury make with a 4 banger engine?

Wow, looks like some of you guys should be in a hate group . As a owner of a Acura I sometimes wonder if people purposley hate on other brands to make them feel better, or our they really that ignorant . The domestic cars that you claim are so crappy are actually built quite well and often have supperior peformance . You may not like their styling and the layout of the vehicles , but to call it crap is just ignorant . My Best friend has a charger and its quite the beast he has the V-8 and the quality, while not great is not cheap like you claim . I agree I dont like the styling of the Vic, but to some people its awesome .

Why would it have reliabilty issues, my father is a GM man and has not brought one of his many Vics in for none scheduled repairs in 10 years . While me a owner of a Honda Civic has brought mine in more than a few times . Just goes to show you how nameplates dont guarentee quality, the diffence between diffrent companies now days in build quality our so low they are not noticable by the average joe, unless you get a lemon .

I've had a few cars and i kinda agree that domestic cars are not well built.... I've had a 93 Grand Am and an 04 Corvette... I'd have to say the quality of both of those cars are indeed crap... I don't understand how the corvette is suppposed to be top of the line with the poor quality...

I've also had 2 acura's a 97 CL and and now I have an 06 TSX... the 97 CL alone is sooo much nicer than the corvette (and other domestic cars)... but thats my opinion....

They have to give a lifetime power train warranty since you can't sell it because it has no resales value.

I had a $31K Jeep leased and 36 months later it was offered to me for $11,500 if I wanted to buy at the end of the lease. Only car I ever leased and glad I did!

Also, to support what Crz4runner said, GM bought back my first 2006 Corvette, but the replacement has been trouble free.

I'd rather get the 300C SRT8 instead, at least it looks more luxurious than the Charger

Dude! Be young and have fun. Go for the Charger!!

The all new GM Camero is another sweet looking ride along with the Charger, Mustang and GTO.

The TSX and the Charger is just a car and you have 40-60 more years to purchase many more cars during your lifetime. This is a short term investment (debt), it is not the same as buying a house or deciding to have kids.

Buy the car, drive the hell out of it, and trade it in for the all new 2011 TSX Type-S Turbo with sh-awd later
