Advice on 2007-2008 TSX
Looking to get a CPO'd TSX. Seems like they hold their value very well!
Is it unrealistic to pick one up with around 15K or so miles for 20K?
Also with moderate driving is 30mpg pretty achievable? Thanks for all the help!

07-08 CPO with 15k miles is probably more in the neighborhood of $22k to $25k. I don't know if the current economic situation has moved those numbers at all though. I wouldn't expect it too change much though.
As for the mileage, it's highly dependent on the type of driving you do and your driving style. I hardly do any highway driving and my average mpg is in the low 20's. I've been able to get 37 mpg on pure highway driving though.

yes, that is unrealistic, especially in my area.
no way you'll find a 07-08 with 15k miles for $20k, not happening, sorry.
maybe in another year or three. for that price you'll be looking at higher mileage
06's at best, if you can find one.
and 30mpg is only achievable if most of the driving is highway. like 75% of it.
if it's more along the lines of 50/50, you're looking at about 25-27 mpg average at best
over a long time period usually.

I second that, I've got about 15k on my 08 and over the life of the car, I've averaged about 26 MPG. On the highway, I regularly average 31-33 while in traffic in the city, it's low 20's.
It's a great reliable car, you can't go wrong. I'd feel pretty comfortable with an 06 with maybe 40K miles.
Good luck.

Mine is 05 and gets 35+ MPG hiway, 30k miles. Best moment to buy a car was when economy collapsed. I saw them on craigslist for less than $16000, 06 + models. It was a surprising drop, but now used cars are in value again due to demand
Make a hole, coming thru!

Search for a 2006 and I think you'll find one within your budget, but give up finding one below 25,000 miles. Even that would be a miracle.
We just replaced my wife's '01 Lincoln LS with a CPO '08 TSX w/Nav. 12k miles. Sale price was $26k but I got an obcene amount for my trade in. Adjust the numbers down $2500 to reflect a realistic trade in value and the TSX would have been around $23.5K. I didn't care as much about the prices as I was my actual out of pocket. Just rec'd the title two days ago but we've covered about 2k miles with 1k of those on a all hwy road trip. Plenty of spirited driving as well. Average fuel economy has been 28.8 mpg.

I've been actively looking at 07/08's lately (dont plan on buying till the fall) if you're patient you can find one for 20 to 21k.
I've seen a couple recently (within the last 2 weeks) that were priced at 21995 (11k miles 07)and another at 23995 (7k miles 08).
Dealers will negotiate especially right now, the 07 was a lease return and probably sold for 18 or 18,5 the current economic conditions have things pretty slow across all models/brands.
the 08 probably sold for 21ish. I've seen others that have been priced slightly above yoru price range which means with negotiation 20k+/-1k is doable...just be patient, wait till the last week of the month to buy and don't be afraid to look out of state at a reputable dealer.

That is what I think the plan is going to be. The 07s are asking around 21900. I'm hoping I can pick one up after bargaining for 20K min. Either that or hope they could give me a good price on my trade.
Here is a thread to read about other enhancements of the 2006 TSX.

The negative is the TPMS but another upside is Hondata install.

I would strongly recommend looking outside your area. I saw a TSX on ebay earlier this week in ohio from an ACURA dealer, 07 model 21 or 25k miles (can't remember now) it was 17,999.
For those who dont follow economics closely, ohio is one of the more depressed areas of the country. Also saw an 08 at an LA area dealer for 21,999, 8k miles. Both were gone when I called on them, but if you look deals are there.

It's hard to average 30mpg but it possible, you are looking really at 24-27mpg if you don't have a heavy foot. I tried to get 500 mile to the tank last summer, i gave up after 430. Now since now gas is cheaper im averaging 19.3mpg now pretty bad. I just put it this way i could save maybe $20 a month or have thrill.

Yeah, I gotta agree, 30 mpg is pretty much out of the question if you drive with any spirit whatsoever. I've gotten 30+ on long trips, but no matter how I drive on my regular commute, its mid 20s. To be fair its mostly city and I don't get much above 45 mph, except for a 3/4 mile stretch where I turn onto a rural road with a 55 mph speed limit, but even then I rarely hit it due to traffic.
