Called two dealers got the same answer. Acura Japan starts building 2006 TSX on September 16th, 2005. Greatest Day of my life.

He told me they should arive within a month from that date but possibly earlier. Oct. 16th is the date that he shot me.

Sorry if it's a repost but I hadn't seen this information anywhere else.

 

Dealers really don't know shit

 

I didn't read every single page of the 2006 TSX info thread, but will 06 TSX have the laser made key fob like the USA Accord does? Still dumb that Honda incorporated it first on Honda cars than Acura cars cause Acura is the luxury division.

 

It's easier to test things out on the Honda target demo. rather than the Acura one.

As for Gibson's comment. Don't just go blab things like that. The thread starter even mentioned that he confirmed this with 2 dealers. I make it 3, being that I'm a sales manager at an Acura dealer that is looking at my allocation and on-order sheet.

 

Bastards... I ordered my '05 TSX in August and had to wait until December 2 to get mine. The wait just made it that much sweeter. enjoy your new '06, I am sure you will love it.

This is one we won't see until it hits the dealer. Honda is basically secretive when it comes to facelifts. When there is a full model change, they give advance notice/images.

Its not really the dealership itself, but more specifically the sales people who dont know shit...

 

No I haven't pre-ordered. The only things I am really interested in when it comes to the 2006's is the re-worked appearance on the outside and the plug in for the RCA outlets (iPod). If the facelift isn't a big "wow" factor for me I might opt for an '05 just because I can work them down more on something they're trying to get rid of. We'll see.

 

I too am waiting to see what the changes are for 06. Had a dealer here in CT tell me that he expects the 06 to arrive in late October, but offered me an 05 MT non/navi for $26,670 which doesn't seem to be that great of a price to me, especially at this time of year.

 

I don't buy what the dealer is telling you. If they start on Sept 16, you will be lucky to have it by mid November. Shipping from Japan isn't overnight, its weeks not to mention building it and importing and exporting. I had one of the first 2005's to hit Arizona, the day the truck rolled in. It took almost 7 weeks from build date to get it.

Where in CT was this? I spoke to Executive Acura in North Haven who said the earliest he expected their delivery was around first of November. I haven't started asking yet for prices on remaining '05s, but was hoping to get one w/o nav. for around $25,000. That is, IF I don't decide to go for the '06.

 

Same dealership...I emailed with Michael Harris and he said he expected the 06s to arrive in late October, but didn't have pricing yet. I think the price he gave me on the 05 is ridiculous!

 

It is DEFINITELY ridiculous. He tried getting me to buy NOW, (of course), saying that he wouldn't likely have any '05s left by the time the '06s were in. I'll take my chances.

I'm at an advantage, really, with whom I buy from. Because there is not an Acura dealer in the entire state of Maine, (not kidding), I'm willing to buy from Mass., CT, NH, VT. So I'll go to whomever is offering the best deal when I'm ready to buy.

The TSX is built in Sayama, Japan. Sorry if "Acura Japan" was not to your liking.

And "greatest day of my life" is simply an cliche. If you don't have anything better to do than type a cynical responses, find yourself a hobby.
