I see your point...

My view is that once you start adding mods the car it is less and less a Honda. You have Comptech, Tein, Progress...ect. All these parts are not Honda. While they may make the car better, they also take away from the car.

I agree with you, but BMW probably use better parts to begin with. Honda uses cheaper parts to sell the car at a lower price. No everyone wants a stiffer suspension.

However, if you wanted to modify the car with just add-ons, the TSX is so nicely built, that these add-ons would greatly improve the car.

Nikki, no one is knocking your driving. I don't know you. I'm only trying to gauge how much of an enthusiast you are driving four miles roundtrip most of the time.

This I find perplexing. I think I can safely speak for most TSX drivers and refute your claim that the TSX is not *fun* to drive. 6 MT drivers, that is. I can't speak for the other group. It may not be a vaunted 330i (it's not trying to be), but it's pretty damn entertaining.

As far a I'm concerned, you only make my point for me. I think the TSX *is* fun to drive, and I do want to drive it. All the time.

I really hope you have a trouble-free BMW ownership experience.

Alright, you've piqued my curiosity. How do such mods take away from the car? Less ride comfort?

I owned an Audi A4 before buying the TSX. This is my 3rd Acura and I have to say Acuras are much more reliable than the German cars. Too bad they don't make it in all wheel drive.

I was speaking in a more technical sense. Taking away Honda parts and replacing them with parts from other brands.

I'm sure you've seen Civics that can run the quarter in 9 seconds. They are barely a Civic anymore though at that point, just a Civic body over a bunch of parts from various manufacturers.

Basically i'm saying i'd rather have a NSX than a TSX modded to perform like a NSX

This is may well be true, but I think the main thrust of this discussion has been one of the driving dynamics and fun-to-drive factor between these two cars.

You have your opinion and I have mine.
Are you trying to convince me to change an opinion I have formed within the past year about my car?

I have a-spec, ct rsb, ct icebox and 18" TE37 with summer tire on my TSX but I also have M sport suspension, UUC swaybar(front & rear), UUC SSK, comforti CAI+software and 18" BBS on summer tire on my 328 too. I considered a-spec is a stock suspension upgrade as the M sport package from BMW. So I compare both in a very similar mods and I still put my vote on my TSX. But the a-spec suspension really make a big big different. And also the excellent handling and excellent braking from the BMW which also come in a cost on weak control arm, unbarable brake dust and very fast worn out rotor & pad.

i hope you guys can make the connection and see that bmw is full of it

unless you all truely believe that bmw's are the ultimate cars of planet earth and germans are ultimate people of planet earth

Is what you are saying really that relevant?
C'mon, what happened in Pearl Harbor a little
over 50 years ago?

Stay on the topic at hand, you fool.

With this logic, then please explain to the masses here as to why many car manufacturers have their cross hairs aimed at BMW's 3 series when building/designing a sports sedan?

For example, the last I checked, Lexus tried to take them down with the IS250/350.

exactly, because they want to prove 3 series is not that ultimate superior car of planet earth

that is why all the car companies around the world are targeting and hating bmw

Ar! another extreme! are you sure TSX has more potential than a E90 330i? Is BMW really that bullshit? I think BMW is still way better than other Eurpoean and some Jap too. But I dun think a 325/323 or 320 are really that "superior" than a TSX. Here is what I going to rank: M3>E90 330>E46 330>E90 325 = TSX > E46 328 > E90 323 > E46 325 > E46 323 > E46 320. But 330 & M3 are all at least $20k Cdn more than TSX and also way less partical than TSX. Unless Honda going to build & design the manual SH-AWD TL in japan or Toyota going to offer manual on IS350 or GS430, otherwise I still planning to replace my 328i with a E90 335i or E90 4dr M3 in the next 3yr.

yes yes i know, you all still believe that bmw is the superior machine... that's fine with me, but after you waste your $60,000 on a 330hp car when you can buy a mustang with 300hp and more torque for $25,000, you can feel very happy and proud of yourself

I already "wasted" $60000cdn on a "superior" machine and it is not that "superior" than my TSX. But there was no TSX 5yr ago. But for comparing a mustang???????? I am sorry I rather drive a 102hp Civic.

Are you serious man? You come here shouting claims of intelligence and experiance backed up by your vast knowledge of the possibility of BMW using neo-nazi ideals to run there company and expect us to take you seriously?

By illogical I meant that you cannot say what will lead to poverty and what will not. How do you know that I don't have millions in the bank and that 60K isn't pocket change for me?

How did this topic move from comparing a 3 series to TSX to questioning one's decisions on how he spends his hard earned money? If you want to go buy a mustang and save the rest for the future, then so be it. If one wants to buy a 60K Cdn car, then so be it. I don't necessarily think that being in either position should equate to one being better than the other.

If one can afford a 60K car, then one would hope that this person is in a financially secure position.

See how good our Canadian welfare system! Being a homeless bum and still able to surf the net and BS on a forum + still have spare charge to pay the crazy gas & insurance.

It is so funny to see someone that can judge another one as a homeless bum and raping little kids because he is driving a bmw???? what a mature 36 yr old!

a 80K cdn M3 won't be a pocket change for me but still won't cost me more than 3mth of income. Well, I dun think I will become a homeless if I become a jobless for 3mth!

i'm going to have to say i'd rather have heater seats AND xenons AND driving dynamics.

and that is the question. even without the extra features, you are still paying like 5 grand more for a 325i.

and that would be one without xenons or heated seats, power seats, or leather, or a good audio system.

hell i wouldnt even take the 325i at that point if they were the same cost let alone 5 grand more.
