2004 ipod problem

I am trying to install a Blitzsafe HON/M-LINK1 V.2X, My car is No nav, no XM 2004, I am having a hard time finding the 14 pin connector to piggyback to the unit. Anyone here have a pic or tell me if it's possible to access this by just removing the center pocket or do I have to take the radio out?

The pin is under the radio behind the big pocket. It is really to install and you probably just need a flash light to see it. It is empty on the 2004 TSX and is white colored. If you got a little mirror that should help you out to see it.

I have a DIY:

There's only one plug but since you have an '04 (no XM) without Navi, there isn't going to be anything plugged into the socket. It will just be empty, this is where you plug in the adapter.

Ok, thanks for the DIY I saw the empty port where I would connect to on the bottom of the radio on the left side. Where is the existing radio harness from that empty port?

On the 2004 TSX it never existed, since our cars didn't come with XM.

Ok thanks, I installed it. I ran the iPod cable through the passenger side and it sits where the seat belt buckle is. I noticed the volume isn't the same vs cd mode. Where normally I would set it at 15, I have to go around 18 depending on which podcast I tried.

Yeah, you'll notice the volume difference because of the loss in sound quality. I definitely have a handful of music on my iPod that I have to crank up because it is much quieter. This is true for podcasts especially because of file size issues.

so one little problem for me with this.. I connected everything right, the adapter works. But, if I ever switch to radio, i'm having a hard time getting back to the AUX. My CD Player is dead btw, so thats why I got this adapter. But that shouldn't be a problem right? I am simply avoiding using the radio since I installed this a few weeks back.

Not sure which unit you are using but on my unit, I have to switch the head unit to CDC to get the iPod input. When I switch to AUX, it does nothing.
