'05 TSX CD PLAYER/RADIO concern
Hey Everyone,
I'm a new TSX owner. I bought a 2005 model a few months back and got it shipped from the east coast to the west coast recently. Anyway, I had a question about the radio/cd player. The manual says that the "CODE" message comes up when the battery has been either disconnected or is dead. When the car came to me shipped, the "CODE" message came up and I entered the code that came with my manual and everything's working. But what I'm really worried and concerned about is that did someone try to steal my radio/cd player while it was being shipped over or is there a defect or what? It seems like the car is working fine, but I can't really be 100% sure. Any idea what could've happened and suggestions?? I really hope there's no foul play. Thanks in advance.

Maybe it was shipped with the battery disconnected If your radio doesn't have any scratches on it chances are that it was disconnected from the power source when in transit. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

They probably come from the factory with the battery disconnected. The dealership, when it preps the car for delivery, connects everything up and makes sure it works. They probably just forgot to punch in the code. Can you ask the driver if he listened to the radio during delivery? Maybe the battery terminals are loose, or the radio fuse is loose.

Actually when I bought it a few months back my parents were driving it around while it was at home for a few months, playing with the XM satellite a bit. They were using it rarely though, and it wasn't shipped directly from the dealership to me. It was shipped from my parents. It had around 420 miles when it came here (that was the same amount just before and after it got shipped), so I figured the driver didn't drive my car much but when that message "CODE" popped up when I turned my car on as soon as it came off the truck made me wonder what happened...especially since the driver said he didn't disconnect the battery...any other ideas?

Just pop the hood and look at the cables that connect to the terminals on the battery. Wiggle them a little and see if they appear loose.
Even if the battery was disconnected, who cares
I wouldn't worry about it.
