'04 CDN TSX pricing question

Been a long time since I last made a post on 'Acurazine' but I'm ready to get back into the Acura sedan drivers seat

Anyways, 2004, 6spd non-navi, ~30,000km (~20kmiles) - what should I expect to pay?

Dealer is asking $29,999 and I see that using acura.ca lease calculator they think an '06 model has a residual value of $20,800 after 2 years.

Where in that range should the bargaining start?

I'll search the forum for recalls, things to look out for etc, but just a quick glance-thru seems to indicate they're pretty bulletproof.

Glad to be back!

I paid $29k for my 2004 with similar mileage 1 year ago, so I would look to get $3-4k more off.

I got my 2004, non-navi, 6-speed, w/ 70,000km for $25,500 including the OEM kit added in to the deal.

That was 13 months ago.

If I were you I'd go privately (there are a few on autotrader.ca all the time) and save yourself the one tax that way as well. If you go with this one at the dealer, I wouldn't pay more than $26,000.

Great!

Thanks guys.

I see that the FAQ thread has the invoice price of an '04 at $32,016 when it was new. I think I have a bit of info to at least start an educated bargaining session with those guys

When i was looking, used 6mt TSX's here in Calgary were rare and relatively expensive! I got my 04 at 36k for $29,995 before tax 5 months ago.

First post, but I've been browsing for a couple of weeks.

ANYWAYS, I got a steal. I found my '04 TSX 6spd Manual w/ 50k miles a month ago. It was at an independent dealer so I had them take it to an Acura dealer and inspect it. Acura told me it was in perfect shape, so I bought it for $20,000 flat.

Hey Jazz! This is timely since I am picking up my 04 tonight! I bought this bad boy almost a month ago but had to wait on a property deal to close!

Anyways, its a black, non-navi 6mt with aero package and 35,000 Km. Got it for $29,900.

2 hours to go and its off to Markham!

Good luck and enjoy!

Ohh....sorry! I was wondering why in the world the dealer was trying to sell the car for that much when it was 2 years old. Ok I feel like an idiot now haha

26-27 seems right. Although, it has pretty low mileage for an 04 - which may be bumping up the price (to just under 30k). My 04, non-navi 6MT has 69,000 km and I'd likely be lucky to get 25k for it (selling privately).

I just traded my '04 5AT non-navi (only 32000 Km) on an '06 MT and got $26,000 for it.

Kelley Black Book gave $26,000 as the top end of the range for wholesale so that's what I demanded.

I'd say you did well for a trade-in.

How's the difference in the 06 ?
