Aight I think I posted this b4 but it wasnt happening as much as it is now, so im back again..

When I start the car up, it revs (if u can picture some1 at a stop light revving like they wanna race) it does this everytime I start 'er up now..b4 it was once in a blue moon.
It does'nt rev to like 3rd gear juz in between 1st and 2nd I was guessing it does that to warm up faster..but I thought to warm up quiker it jumps to 2nd and stays then lowers to 1st..??

So im kinda lost in the sauce, any1 had this happen..naba2002 said he had something similiar but no solution..ALSO my mother-In-Law said she had tha same problem (but she has a alero) she changed tha pcv valve problem gone...so I picked one up and th guy at meinekee said "whut the hell is that" so im back to square one. Need help please..AND how do u kno when u need a tune-up I think I do I havent had 1 since I had her..(2yrs)

 

I think you'll get more help if you'll speak English. I read that and I am also lost, to say the least.

What's it doing in any other gear but "P" (Park) when you start it?

 

Clean the EGR valve, its a good idea no matter what and will give you a better idle.

 

While idle it doesn't jump any gears... at idle it should stay between 500 to 1,500 rpms... usually your engine will work harder if your AC is on... make sure its off when you turn the car off the next time you turn it off... If you turn it on and the AC is on turn it off... My car revs up and down depending if the AC is off or on... so that might be your problem...

Wouldn't hurt to change the PCV valve and clean your EGR valve either...

Thanx fellaz I actually did hear about tha PCV valve as I posted..I'll try it this weekend hopefully this solves the problem. I will also check on that EGR valve too..

I'll let u guys know how it turned out as soon as I'm done.

ATTN:03CoupeV6 What part is "not in english" that You dont seem to coprehend? I didnt think it was that out of whack not to be understood....but anyway I have a possible soulution anyway so thanks for the help and critisim I'll try 2 clean it up 4 u next time...K?
OH and when I said it revs to didfferent "gears" I meant RPM's not park, drive, etc. It wont start if its not in park anyway..

I will vouch for that... could be an air leak as well... my buddies legend did the same thing with a loose EGR

 

aight gonna juz check this stuff out 2moro juz gotta find where its @...hope its in tha manual ..lol

 

UPDATE: I got a tune-up (fuel filter, sparks, pcv valve..thats it I already had the K&N air fliter..) now everything is fine.. Oh my lil heater problem was (and Im embarassed 2 say) I had NO antifreeze I have'nt checked in a while and was ALL OUT..whoopsie.

But glad to say ur advice helped me out 1nce again thanx!

Can anyone direct me or help me with detailed instructions on cleaning the EGR Valve on a 1996 Acura TL.

I don't know very much about the car, I have a jeep cj. So any help is appreciated with locations of all the components.
